News from FPT Corporation confirmed that Vice President of the University Council - FPT University Hoang Nam Tien suddenly passed away at 4:10 p.m. on July 31 due to a stroke and cardiac arrest outside the hospital.

According to Tuoi Tre Online's source, on the morning of July 31, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was still preparing a plan for this afternoon to record with a channel about two books he recently wrote about his father - General Hoang Dan and his wife.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien is the youngest son of Major General Hoang Dan (1928 - 2003) and his wife - National Assembly delegate Nguyen Thi An Vinh (1933 - 2022).

Mr. Tien, born in 1969 in Hanoi, is the former Chairman ofFPT Software, FPT Telecom - FPT Corporation. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the University Council - FPT University, in charge of postgraduate training activities.

Joining FPT in 1993, Mr. Tien worked here continuously for 30 years and was considered an important factor contributing to the success of the group.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien is known as an administrator, a technology expert, a startup consultant, a teacher and a popular speaker.

Recently, he released two popular books about his father - General Hoang Dan. Of which, the book Letter to You about his parents' love story, sold 50,000 copies.
