The competition is part of a series of activities leading up to the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), aiming to recognize and promptly reflect the achievements in protecting, caring for, and improving the health of the people. The competition encouraged the participation of a large number of professional and non-professional journalists from within and outside the province to create high-quality journalistic works to introduce, promote, and disseminate information about Ninh Binh's health sector in a comprehensive manner; and to broaden the position of the health sector in society as a whole.

This helps all segments of the population better understand the healthcare sector and healthcare professionals , encouraging their active participation in the healthcare sector's efforts to care for and protect public health. It also motivates healthcare staff to uphold a strong sense of responsibility in protecting public health, improve medical ethics, and wholeheartedly care for patients. Furthermore, it encourages adherence to the code of conduct for civil servants and public employees in healthcare institutions, enabling Ninh Binh's healthcare sector to continue its fine traditions while simultaneously adopting and applying advanced scientific and technological achievements in medical examination and treatment, allowing people to access modern healthcare services right in their local area.

At the same time, the competition also aims to promote the dissemination of information, encourage and recognize the noble qualities and silent sacrifices of officials, staff, and doctors in the health sector; contributing to raising awareness among officials and people in the province about the position, role, and responsibility of the Ninh Binh health sector in the cause of protecting, caring for, and improving people's health in the new situation.
