Launching the World Office Informatics and Graphic Design Championship 2024 season

On November 29, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and IIG Vietnam Education Organization to launch the "World Office Informatics Championship" and the "World Graphic Design Championship" 2024 season in Vietnam on a national scale.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, highly appreciated the results achieved by Vietnamese contestants at the " World Office Proficiency (MOS)" and "World Graphic Design Championship (ACP)" 2023.

The representative of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union hopes that with the achievements they have achieved, the MOS and ACP ambassadors will continue to promote their personal achievements, while spreading positive energy to many young people across the country to promote the learning movement and improve digital capacity for the young generation of Vietnam.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Huong, Deputy Director General, General Department of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs), office computer skills today have high practical application for students' study and work. Along with that, graphic design has become an attractive profession that opens up a bright future for learners.

"In recent years, vocational training institutions have expanded their attention to developing training in information technology and graphic design, thereby contributing to the economy with a skilled workforce that meets international standards of qualifications and capacity, " said a representative of the General Department of Vocational Education.

This year, the "World Office Championship" has changed the content of the competition. Specifically, the competition will deploy Microsoft 2019 and Microsoft 365 Apps versions instead of Microsoft 2016 and Microsoft 2019 versions as in previous years. The improvement is to match the trend of promoting applied information technology in the world.

The Organizing Committee will select 6 national champions to attend the World Finals taking place at the end of July 2024 in Anaheim, California, USA.

For the "World Graphic Design Championship" contest, the contestants include high school, college and university students nationwide between the ages of 13-22.

At the end of the competition rounds, the organizers will find 3 national champions to qualify for the world finals taking place in the United States at the end of July 2024.

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee commended the contestants of the Vietnamese Office Information Technology (MOS) and Graphic Design (ACP) teams for their high achievements at the 2023 World Finals, and awarded certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to the contestants who won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the world level.

In addition, all teachers with world medalists also receive a Certificate from Certiport Computer Testing Corporation (USA).

In particular, to commend and encourage the spirit of overcoming difficulties in studying and practicing Information Technology and Graphic Design of students in localities with limited conditions for studying information technology, this year, the organizing committee will award scholarships to candidates participating in the national qualifying rounds of two competitions in the Northern midlands and mountainous areas, the Central Highlands, and the Mekong Delta with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND.

In particular, the national champions of the two competitions will be awarded the Creative Youth Badge by the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union - the most noble badge of Vietnamese youth.
