Implementing Plan No. 13/KH-TCQLTT dated October 22, 2024 of the General Department of Market Management, the Market Management Department (QLTT) of Quang Ninh province issued Plan No. 1004/KH-QLTT, directing the QLTT Teams to deploy a peak period of market inspection and control before, during and after Tet.
After more than 2 months of implementation, the entire Department has inspected and handled 194 violations, with a total amount of more than 8.1 billion VND. Of which, the fine paid to the State budget is 3.45 billion VND; the value of confiscated goods is over 1.05 billion VND; the value of destroyed goods is 3.69 billion VND.
In particular, 78 violations related to counterfeit goods and intellectual property infringement were handled, with fines of VND1.52 billion; more than 6,000 counterfeit products worth VND1.62 billion were forced to be destroyed. Regarding food safety, 65 violations were detected, with fines of VND845 million, and many goods were forced to be destroyed, including: 6,779 units of confectionery, soft drinks, and snacks; 538 kg of fruit; 840 sausage products; 582 bottles of smuggled wine and 430 liters of wine.
Typically, in January 2025 alone, Market Management Team No. 8 has strengthened inspection, control and detected and handled 23 cases/23 subjects/23 violations; total administrative fines and destruction of goods worth nearly 130 million VND in the fields of: Counterfeit goods, intellectual property violations; food safety; smuggled goods; price violations...
In the coming time, the Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province will continue to closely monitor business activities at tourist areas, sightseeing spots, and the 2025 Spring Festival, ensuring a healthy and safe market for people.
