Developing cultural industries on the basis of literature and art

On the morning of November 5, in Da Nang City, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City organized the Workshop "Literature and Arts with Cultural Industry", gathering nearly 100 delegates to attend.

MSc. Nguyen Nho Khiem, Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, emphasized that the team of nearly 1,500 artists in Da Nang are not only creators of works, but also the core content production force for the entire cultural industrial value chain.

Da Nang is assessed to have many advantages such as a tourist city, an event city, a rich cultural institution system, abundant cultural heritage resources, and diverse artistic potential. However, reality also shows many limitations such as a lack of cultural industrial products, a fragmented value chain of creation - production - distribution, and the exploitation of digital technology that is not commensurate with its potential.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, believed: "Today's scientific workshop "Literature - Arts of Da Nang with Cultural Industry" will have valuable suggestions and recommendations in both theory and practice, contributing to Da Nang City continuing to build and perfect mechanisms, policies and projects to strongly develop Da Nang's cultural industries on the basis of literature and art".
