During this period, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital, will continue to manage the hospital until further instructions are received from the competent authority.

Recently, a delegation from Binh Dan Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) held a working session at the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital to assess the current situation and plan to provide professional support in urology to the hospital.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thinh acknowledged that the hospital still faces many difficulties in terms of specialized personnel, equipment, and advanced techniques in the field of Urology.
Complex techniques such as endoscopic urological surgery, extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, and treatment of urinary tract cancers are still limited.

The leadership of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital hopes that Binh Dan Hospital will provide professional support, training, and technology transfer in urology to help the hospital improve its treatment capacity.
Here, the leadership of Binh Dan Hospital informed that they are ready to cooperate with the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital to develop a support plan, such as sending doctors for on-site training, organizing specialized surgical sessions, and transferring treatment techniques and procedures to the hospital.
As reported by Dan Tri newspaper , on October 3rd, Mr. Nguyen Dang Giap, Director of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital, was prosecuted and temporarily detained for investigation on the charge of Negligence Causing Serious Consequences related to the case where a lithotripsy machine malfunctioned but was still registered for lithotripsy treatment for 255 patients.
On October 4th, the Dak Lak Department of Health assigned Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital, to manage the hospital to ensure its operations are handled while awaiting further instructions from the competent authorities.
However, on October 8th, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thinh submitted a request to relinquish his position as head of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital.
Mr. Thinh stated that the outstanding issues at the hospital were beyond his capabilities and could only be resolved by the Department of Health. Therefore, he requested not to accept the assignment in order to focus on directing professional activities at the hospital.
On October 14th, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a meeting to review the operational management of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital.
The Investigation Police Department of Dak Lak province has initiated legal proceedings and temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoang, former Head of the Urology Department, and Mr. Bui Ngoc Duc, former Head of the Surgery, Anesthesia, and Resuscitation Department of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital, on charges of abusing their positions and authority while performing their official duties.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Giap, former Director of the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital, has been prosecuted and detained on charges of negligence causing serious consequences.
The defendants were prosecuted for their involvement in the incident where a malfunctioning and unusable laser lithotripsy machine was still used by the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital to perform endoscopic lithotripsy procedures on 255 people, in violation of established procedures.
