Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung pays tribute to heroic martyrs

On the afternoon of July 7th, as part of the journey towards commemorating the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and his delegation visited and laid wreaths at three historical sites: Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, the National Martyrs Cemetery on Highway 9, and the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery.

Accompanying the Deputy Prime Minister was Comrade Nguyen Long Hai, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly.

Lighting incense at the memorial site in Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and members of the delegation observed a moment of silence to remember and express gratitude for the contributions of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for national independence and reunification.

Next, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Highway 9 and the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery. At each stop, the delegation expressed their profound gratitude for the immense sacrifices of generations of soldiers who fell for the cause of national liberation.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the delegation pledged to continue upholding the revolutionary tradition, uniting, and striving to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to the building and firm protection of the Fatherland.
