Speaking at the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung expressed his admiration and admiration for the province's rapid growth and remarkable transformation across all sectors over the past five years. Most notably, the industrial production sector has developed strongly, and the province has done well in attracting investment, especially in the FDI sector. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, two key lessons contributing to these impressive results are the unity and cohesion of the political system and the dynamism, creativity in policy planning, and decisive action of the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho province.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Phu Tho has enormous potential, advantages, and room for development. Therefore, in addition to focusing on development within the province, Phu Tho must fulfill the mission of being a "bridge" for the provinces along the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong economic corridor. However, there are still some limitations that Phu Tho needs to overcome, such as: infrastructure is not yet synchronized; the development gap between regions needs to be narrowed; and there should be a focus on developing high-tech projects and effectively exploiting the abundant tourism potential.
In the coming period, the province will continue to implement Resolution 18/NQ-TW and Conclusion 127-KL/TW of the Politburo and the Secretariat on researching and proposing further restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus; doing a good job in ideological work, ensuring smooth operation, and not affecting the people and businesses. With great development potential, Phu Tho province can strive to exceed the 8% growth target. To achieve this, the province needs to actively reduce administrative procedures and business conditions according to the Government's established direction to create a "lever" for the development of the private economy; strategic transportation infrastructure needs to be prioritized; and efforts should be made to complete the target of building social housing. Regarding the province's proposals and recommendations, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned specific tasks to the ministries and agencies to compile and report to the Prime Minister as soon as possible.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the investment project for the road connecting the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway. He also inspected the construction project of the Phu Tho Provincial Cultural and Arts Center.
