Cherish your time.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, delivered a long and heartfelt speech to the new students. He particularly shared insights on how to manage time effectively.
Dr. Tuan advised over 5,000 new students: "Everyone's time is limited. Therefore, you should cherish your time. Always remember that time that passes will never return. Every day, every hour, every minute are moments that we cannot get back. So, use them meaningfully."
Set yourself clear goals and plans. Don’t waste time on useless things. I hope that each year that passes, you will gain a new understanding of life, your career and yourself. Learn to love and be compassionate so that we can live a meaningful and rewarding youth.
We want you to not only become good at your job, but also be kind-hearted people who know how to love and help those around you. Because true success is not only measured by money or fame, but also by how many other people you have helped and changed their lives."
