The bill collection service for hospital fees at Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital, implemented by Agribank Thanh Hoa for many years, has achieved positive results. Accordingly, Agribank Thanh Hoa has collaborated with Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital to connect POS card readers with the hospital's information management system, install POS systems, and jointly issue linked cards for hospital fee payments via POS... In addition, it provides other cashless payment solutions such as QR code payments and payments via the Agribank E-Mobile Banking system... This helps the hospital simplify payment procedures, better serve patients, reduce risks associated with cash transactions, reduce costs and manpower, and improve hospital management efficiency.”
Instead of having to go to a counter to complete procedures, people can now conduct transactions online completely free of charge from home using only their phones. Agribank is one of the first banks to apply electronic online customer authentication and identification technology. This contributes to simplifying the account opening process, enhancing convenience and security in transactions, and meeting customer service needs. Agribank has applied the most modern artificial intelligence technologies such as image data reading technology, facial recognition technology... which are modern, reliable technological platforms that ensure transparency and speed, making it easier for customers to open bank accounts online. Agribank has also collaborated with Fintech companies to deploy mobile payment applications, e-wallets, etc., thereby allowing customers to easily conduct daily payment transactions (paying for electricity, water, telecommunications, tuition fees, hospital fees, money transfers, etc.) from phones and computers with internet connection; This facilitates access to safe and effective financial services for customers in rural and remote areas. With the VNPAY -QR feature integrated into the Agribank E-Mobile Banking application, customers can make payments simply, easily, and securely at over 150,000 stores, supermarkets selling food and essential goods, and on e-commerce websites and online shopping platforms.
From being unfamiliar and unfamiliar, people are now becoming increasingly accustomed to and find the electronic banking services offered by Agribank indispensable. Ms. Luong Thi Huyen, residing in Hai Binh ward (Nghi Son town), who has experienced the conveniences of the Agribank application, said: "With the support of Agribank staff at Tinh Gia Nam branch in Thanh Hoa, I installed and used the features on Agribank E-Mobile Banking; I find it very convenient, allowing me to make payments anytime, anywhere by scanning QR codes and transferring money. Now, I don't need to worry about carrying cash wherever I go; especially for expenses such as my children's tuition fees, electricity bills, and monthly telecommunication fees, all are automatically paid."
As commercial banks operating primarily in rural areas, in addition to playing a leading and pivotal role in the province's economic development and closely linked to the agricultural sector, Agribank branches have intensified the implementation of digital transformation to bring electronic banking services to the people, helping them access modern payment conveniences, reduce costs, and create a cashless payment habit for consumers. This contributes to the healthy development of the microfinance market and limits and combats illegal lending. The digital transformation of banks also goes hand in hand with ensuring security, safety, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of customers, and the sustainable development of the banking system. The branches have brought banking and financial services closer to those in remote and underserved areas, continuously improving service quality, increasing benefits, and optimizing customer experience. They have accelerated digital transformation, providing more convenience and meeting the increasingly high demands of customers. Accordingly, the banks have proactively proposed to Agribank Vietnam to upgrade their information technology systems; invest in infrastructure, equipment, and machinery; and standardize data in terms of records, books, and archiving. As a result, the electronic transaction network and infrastructure of the banks have been continuously upgraded and developed to be modern and advanced, with 2 mobile transaction points using specialized vehicles, 85 ATMs, and 484 POS machines. Agribank branches in the province are currently serving more than 1.5 million customers with deposits, loans, and using banking and financial products and services.
With its long history and experience operating in the agricultural and rural markets, Agribank branches in the province have been, are, and will continue to affirm their role and position as a pioneering bank in digital transformation, contributing to the successful achievement of the goals and plans of the banking sector in general and Thanh Hoa province in particular.
