Son La: Giving gifts to students at a disadvantaged school in Laos

On December 8, the Chieng Khuong Border Guard Station, the Border Guard Command of Son La province, coordinated to organize gift giving to students at disadvantaged schools in Huaphanh province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Officers and soldiers of Chieng Khuong Border Guard Station coordinated with a volunteer group to present gifts to students of Huoicu Primary School, MuongEt District, Huaphanh Province, Laos.

Due to geographical location, some schools in districts of Huaphanh province, Laos, bordering Son La province still face many difficulties. In the spirit of "helping each other to develop together", in recent times, the Border Guard of Son La province has had many activities to support and help people and students of Laos.

On this occasion, the Chieng Khuong Border Guard Station coordinated with the Chieng Khuong Commune Youth Union and the volunteer group from Thai Noi village, Viet Yen commune, Hung Yen province, to travel more than 250km to give gifts to students at the Huoicu primary school and kindergarten, MuongEt district, Huaphanh province, Laos.

School supplies were given to students in Laos.

The volunteer group donated rice, instant noodles, school bags, pens, notebooks, plastic chairs, clothes and organized snacks for 50 students of 2 schools.

Lieutenant Colonel Lo Van Binh, Political Commissar of the Chieng Khuong Border Guard Station, shared: The unit is not only a core force specializing in coordinating with Lao border protection forces to maintain peace at the Fatherland's border, but also demonstrates a close, intimate, and tight relationship with the people of Laos, ready to support and help in many fields.

Recently, with many practical activities, the Chieng Khuong Border Guard Station has organized guidance to help Lao people plant fruit trees, donated seedlings, and provided financial support to students in difficult circumstances in the program "Helping children go to school, adopted children of the border guard station"...

The above activities have been bringing about very practical results and benefits, in the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties, helping friends selflessly and purely, just as President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "If we love each other, we can climb any mountain; wade any river, cross any pass; Vietnam and Laos, our two countries; our love is deeper than the Red River and the Mekong River."
