According to the report of the Ministry of Health , up to now, contractors have actively constructed and completed items such as: traffic roads, parking lots; interior installation, conference hall equipment, signboard installation; interior and exterior painting; complete installation of indoor lighting system; complete air conditioning system; complete and test run of medical gas supply system, RO system; implementation of receiving and installing medical equipment at Bach Mai 2 Project.
Currently, contractors are supplying and installing some of the 82 medical devices of the Bach Mai 2 Project and 83 medical devices of the Viet Duc 2 Project. Medical devices serving the testing activities of Bach Mai Hospital have also been installed and tested.
For the medical equipment part, the open bidding method is being applied, the Project Management Board is organizing the bidding (the bidding results of 4/6 packages of Bach Mai 2 Project have been announced; Viet Duc 2 Project is expected to start opening bidding from December 11, 2025).
Expected to hand over all equipment at the construction site before March 31, 2026; complete installation and handover of all equipment before April 30, 2026.
The two hospitals have developed detailed plans, prepared adequate human resources, and have plans to transfer equipment between the two facilities to be ready to receive and operate the hospital as soon as it is handed over.
Concluding the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized: The inauguration of the second facility of Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals will be held on December 19, 2025. This event contributes to the general atmosphere of the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of large-scale projects and works, welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party for the 2025-2030 term.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Health should coordinate closely with the Ministry of Construction to carefully prepare for the inauguration ceremony of the project construction on December 19. Each participant in the project must enhance their responsibility, especially the contractors for the construction of the second facility of Viet Duc Hospital when the workload is still large. The contractors must increase the number of workers to ensure the progress of completing the project items.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Public Security to continue to advise on plans, support, and guide the project's fire prevention and fighting plans to ensure operating conditions.
For the Ministry of Health, from now until the inauguration of the construction part, the Ministry's leaders must regularly follow the site to direct the work. The Project Management Board will speed up the review of documents, payment to contractors, and promptly install, test run purchased equipment and transfer it to hospitals. Complete legal documents at the same time as the work already completed on the construction site.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Ninh Binh province to pay attention to supporting the two hospitals to ensure the conditions for project acceptance when put into operation, and at the same time support the two hospitals with accommodation conditions for staff, workers and laborers; organize traffic flow and security and order conditions of the two hospitals during operation.
