Duy Tan University students won silver medals at the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival

Becoming a first-year student of Dentistry at Duy Tan University this year, Trinh Nguyen Hong Minh, the champion of The Voice Kids 2015 and Sing Out Loud 2023, continued to register in the National Music and Dance Festival 2024 when he won a Silver medal with the performance "Apsara Dancer on the Han River".

The closing ceremony of the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival took place on the evening of October 15 , 2024 at the Binh Duong Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. This is a cultural and artistic activity assigned by the Ministry of Culture , Sports and Tourism to the Department of Performing Arts to preside over, in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians' Association, the Vietnam Dance Artists' Association , the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province and related agencies and units. This professional and prestigious art playground has attracted the participation of 1,500 artists from 24 units nationwide. Here, the quintessence of Vietnamese music and performing arts have gathered to freely express their talents and creativity in the extremely diverse fields of culture and art .

Participating in the Festival, the Trung Vuong Theater of Da Nang City made a strong impression with the art program "The River Tells Stories". The program consisted of 14 performances with 2 parts: " Old Stories " and " New Stories ".

"The River Tells Stories" demonstrated the professionalism and creativity of talented artists when introducing a Da Nang full of youthfulness, strong development, and many poetic features in life alongside the warm-hearted character of the people of Da Thanh.

The Trung Vuong Theater unit won 2 gold medals and 3 silver medals at the festival. Among them, Trinh Nguyen Hong Minh, a student at Duy Tan University, left his mark with 1 silver medal in the performance " Apsara dancer on the Han River ". In the gentle and enchanting music of the Champa land, Hong Minh transformed into an Apsara dancer with mysterious beauty and passionate dance like fairies strolling on the Han River.

The solo performance " Apsara Dancer on the Han River " not only depicts the beauty of Champa culture but also revives the image of shy Champa girls in traditional dances. Through the delicate blend of music and dance, Hong Minh, together with the program " The River Tells Stories ", led the audience back to the memories of Da Nang, where culture, people and history intersect, recounting the journey of the city's strong transformation over the years.

Returning from the Festival, Hong Minh shared: " This award has a special meaning, an important turning point, marking my professional artistic career when recognized by the Ministry of Culture - Sports - Tourism. I am also very proud that I have contributed a small part to the success of the art program 'Storytelling River' of Trung Vuong Theater at the Festival. As a son of Da Nang City , I always want to spread the beauty of the people, culture and history of the city and hope that those beauties will be preserved and promoted forever " .

Being both a professional singer and a first-year student at Duy Tan University, Hong Minh confided: " Although I have only studied at Duy Tan University for a short time, I feel that this is the right choice for my study journey. Duy Tan is not only the place that helps me realize my dream of working in the field of Dentistry in addition to my artistic path, but also the place where I have memorable memories such as the opening ceremony of the last school year " .

Once known as " Rapunzel " when she became the Champion of The Voice Kids 2015 and then the Champion of Sing Out Loud 2023, Hong Minh has always affirmed her outstanding talent on many music stages. Not only outstanding in the field of art, Hong Minh also has an excellent academic record as an Excellent Student for 12 consecutive years, winning high prizes in many competitions from city to national level, of which the most typical are:

• First Prize of the 2021 City-level Science and Technology Competition with the topic " Warning, coordination, and support for people's rescue in natural disasters ",
• First Prize of the 2023 City-level Science and Technology Competition with the topic " Solutions for developing automatic parking networks for modern cities on the IoT platform ".

In addition, Hong Minh has also won the following awards:

• 2 First Prizes in Cheap Informatics at City Level (2015, 2019) ,
• 1st prize in National Robothon (2017),
• 4 years of achieving the title "Outstanding student of the city " ( 2015, 2017, 2019, 2024) ,

In addition to focusing on studying and her passion for music, Hong Minh also spends a lot of time on community activities. She has participated in many volunteer activities at home and abroad and has received many certificates of merit and awards at the central and city levels. The prize money received from many music competitions, Hong Minh always uses to help people in difficult circumstances. In particular, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Hong Minh participated in many community MVs, contributing her voice to spread meaningful messages and cheer people up.
