On April 19, Thai authorities announced that from May 1, all foreign visitors entering Thailand must register for a digital version of Immigration Form TM.6 and the registration must be done at least 3 days before the trip.
The Immigration Department is implementing a digital system for foreigners entering or leaving Thailand, called the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), said Anukool Pruksanusak, deputy spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office.
All foreign visitors entering Thailand by land, sea or air must register online at http://tdac.immigration.go.th, with an app version to be released soon.
The information required to fill out the TDAC form includes travel documents, passport information, personal data, travel plans, where to stay in Thailand, and health status as prescribed by the Thai Ministry of Public Health . The TDAC form must be completed 3 days before the trip.
Mr. Anukool emphasized that TDAC is not a visa but an online entry card system developed to streamline the entry process and comply with international standards.
The steps to register for TDAC include visiting tdac.immigration.go.th, filling in personal and travel information, submitting the form, and receiving a confirmation email. Visitors will then need to present the confirmation documents and travel information to immigration officers upon arrival in Thailand.
The TDAC website supports five languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese. The site also includes informational flyers and instructional videos.
In addition, the Immigration Bureau has coordinated with relevant agencies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' e-Visa system, the Department of Disease Control's screening system, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports' travel fee system to ensure a smoother and more efficient entry process./.
