On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the establishment of Thu Duc City (January 1, 2021 - January 1, 2025); the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); and the beginning of a series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the People's Committee of Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) in coordination with Vietnam Brand Purpose (an organization providing strategic consulting on building Vietnamese national brands and global Vietnamese brands) is organizing the first New Year's Festival - City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025.
That is the information announced by Thu Duc City People's Committee and Vietnam Brand Purpose on October 31.
Accordingly, the New Year's Eve Festival - City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 will take place from December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025 at Saigon Riverfront Park (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City).
City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 is also a colorful, multi-experience festival being held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, combining culture, community, technology, and sustainability.
The festival is designed in the same scale and format as major festivals in the world , promising to become a destination for entertainment during the New Year 2025 for Ho Chi Minh City residents, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

At City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025, for the first time, the spirit of "community" will be celebrated and enhanced across all fields to create a colorful tapestry of Vietnamese culture and vitality, including: the community of artists and creative arts, the Hip-hop community, the X-Game community, the traditional cuisine community, the Vietnamese agricultural products community, and more.
In particular, communities practicing sustainable lifestyles will participate, conveying messages about environmental protection and sustainable development through practical activities such as recycling, using environmentally friendly materials, and green living.
The most special highlight of City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 is the international-class music stage, designed as grandly as a global music festival.
The program will explode with two spectacular music nights: the opening night on December 28, 2024, and the New Year's Eve countdown on December 31, 2024.

The festival is expected to bring together many talented artists from around the world, along with leading Vietnamese singers. The fusion of traditional and modern music, of different generations of artists, and of Vietnamese and international artists on the same stage promises to create unique and impressive performances.
City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 promises to be not only a festival but also a connecting space; where each community has the opportunity to share, learn and spread positive values, together creating a meaningful New Year festival.
At the same time, the festival also opens up opportunities to promote the image of tourist destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and Thu Duc City: "Lively - Youthful - Open - Colorful - Exciting".
City Tet Fest Thu Duc is expected to become an iconic annual cultural and artistic festival of Thu Duc City and Ho Chi Minh City.

This festival also contributes to the implementation of Ho Chi Minh City's strategy for developing cultural industries until 2030; at the same time, it is an opportunity to integrate traditional culture into the flow of modern life, preserve and spread the values of Vietnamese cultural heritage to the world, and contribute to transforming heritage into assets to build the national brand of Vietnam.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, Nguyen Ky Phung, added: This festival will contribute to honoring community and family values, developing businesses; stimulating consumption; and serving the needs of sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, and recreation of people in Thu Duc City in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general at the end of the year.
At the same time, the event will also be gradually built to become a highlight for domestic and foreign tourists; promote cultural and tourism activities and contribute to introducing tourism and cultural products, promoting the destination image of Thu Duc city.
