
Child delegates will participate in the Vietnam-China Children's Exchange Program 2024 - Photo: Youth Union
On the afternoon of July 14th in Hanoi , Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang – Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers – met with the delegation from the Vietnam Children's Support and Development Center participating in the Vietnam-China Children's Exchange Program 2024.
With the theme "Mountains and seas intertwined, growing up happily," the exchange program will take place from July 15th to 19th in Nanning City (Guangxi Province, China).
The exchange program aims to realize important common understandings between the two Parties, the two States, and the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) with the Provincial Party Committees of four provinces: Cao Bang, Lang Son, Ha Giang , and Quang Ninh (Vietnam).
According to the plan, five Vietnamese delegations will participate in the program, including the Vietnam Children's Support and Development Center and the Provincial Youth Unions of Cao Bang , Lang Son, Ha Giang, and Quang Ninh provinces.
As part of the program, the delegation will attend the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-China children's exchange program, experience intangible cultural heritage at the Guangxi Ethnic Museum, visit the Guangxi Puppet Theatre, participate in cultural exchanges with various ethnic groups, engage in recreational activities for children from both Vietnam and China, and visit and experience the Guangxi Science Exhibition Hall, Nanning subway station and zoo, and the Dingshi Mountain historical site, among other attractions.
At the meeting, Ms. Trang stated that over the past period, the Youth Unions of the two countries have successfully coordinated the organization of three Vietnam-China Youth Festivals and 22 Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meetings in both in-person and online formats.
Ms. Trang shared that the activities of the youth unions of both countries have brought practical effectiveness and benefits to the youth of both countries, continuously fostering the traditional friendship between the youth and people of the two countries and jointly contributing to promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and China.
On this occasion, she also extended her congratulations and presented gifts to the children's delegation participating in the Vietnam-China Children's Exchange Program 2024, and expressed her hope that the children would participate safely, showcase the image of solidarity and friendship between the children of the two countries, and successfully complete all the activities of the exchange program.
