On Friday, November 22, 2024, the National Assembly continued its 23rd working day (8th Session, 15th National Assembly) at the National Assembly building in Hanoi.

In the morning, under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall to hear the following presentations: Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Submission on the draft Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended); Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh presented the Verification Report on the draft Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended); Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Submission on the draft Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended); Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh presented the Verification Report on the draft Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended).

The National Assembly held group discussions on the following topics: the draft Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended); and the draft Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended).

In the afternoon, under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall to hear the following presentations: Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations; and Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Le Quang Huy presented the report on the examination of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations.

The National Assembly discussed in groups the following contents: the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations; the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the morning, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall to hear the following: the presentation and the verification report on the draft Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises; the presentation and the verification report on the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry; after which, the National Assembly discussed in groups the draft Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises and the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall, voting to approve the Resolution on the results of the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development from 2015 to the end of 2023"; voting to approve the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); and discussing the draft Law on Chemicals (amended).
