Receiving and working with the delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training were representatives from the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, various departments and agencies in the province, and the Lang Son Department of Education and Training.
Regarding the implementation of tasks for the school year, the Lang Son education sector has prepared the necessary infrastructure and teaching equipment to ensure the implementation of the curriculum; implemented two-session-per-day teaching at educational institutions throughout the province to improve the overall quality of education and meet the goals of the 2018 General Education Program; ensured sufficient teaching staff under the conditions of a two-tiered local government; and implemented professional tasks at all levels of education.

Regarding post-flood recovery efforts, the education sector in Lang Son has effectively implemented urgent flood prevention and control measures, focusing on reviewing areas with deep flooding and areas at risk of landslides to proactively relocate and evacuate students and facilities from dangerous areas.

To date, 52 affected educational institutions have basically met the minimum requirements to welcome students back to normal learning; they have proactively adjusted teaching plans, strengthened the organization of remedial teaching and learning, and flexibly used online or blended learning methods to ensure that students' learning is not interrupted, especially for students in the final grades.

Permanent Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong requested that the Lang Son education sector pay attention to, direct, and coordinate the resolution of related issues in accordance with regulations and the practical conditions of the locality, especially the recruitment, employment, appointment, and transfer of teachers and staff under the two-tiered local government system.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the education sector in Lang Son needs to focus on improving the qualifications and thinking capacity of its education management staff to proactively innovate, be flexible and creative in management and administration; and continue to advise and propose solutions to existing problems in practice, with effective approaches.

Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, respectfully thanked the Ministry of Education and Training for its attention and support to the locality; and at the same time directed the Department of Education and Training to advise and propose solutions to related issues, and promptly implement the effective allocation of received support to overcome the consequences of the storm and floods.

At the event, the Ministry of Education and Training donated 200 million VND to support the education sector in Lang Son province in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.
Also within the program, the education sector in Lang Son received a total of over 4 billion VND in support from the following organizations: Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training; Vietnam Education Publishing House; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics; Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking; EGM Education Group; Atlantic Education Group; Hong Ha Stationery Joint Stock Company; ISMART Education Joint Stock Company; and Binh Minh Company.
