On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), on January 15th, a delegation from the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Affairs, led by Comrade Y Vinh Tơr, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Affairs, visited, presented gifts, and extended New Year greetings to influential figures and ethnic minority communities in Quan Hoa and Thuong Xuan districts, Thanh Hoa province.

In Quan Hoa district, the delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to the officers and soldiers of Hien Kiet Border Guard Station, and presented 7 gifts to influential individuals and 160 Tet gifts to poor ethnic minority households and households with difficult circumstances in Hien Kiet border commune.

In Thuong Xuan district, the delegation presented gifts and extended New Year greetings to 10 influential individuals and 300 poor ethnic minority households, households with difficult circumstances, and the Party Committee and government of Luan Khe commune.
The total value of the program is nearly 500 million VND.

After listening to reports from representatives of the Hien Kiet Border Guard Station, the Party Committee and government of Hien Kiet commune (Quan Hoa district), and Luan Khe commune (Thuong Xuan district) on the situation and results of socio -economic development, national defense and security, ethnic affairs, and social welfare in the area, on behalf of the working group, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Affairs Y Vinh Tor acknowledged and praised the achievements of the local Party Committee, government, armed forces, and ethnic minority people; and also recognized the contributions and roles of influential figures among ethnic minority communities.
Thanks to the attention, leadership, and guidance of local Party committees and authorities, the efforts of the people, and the influence of community leaders, the Party and State's ethnic policies and guidelines have been effectively implemented, and the lives of the people have been steadily improving.
