Chairman Puan Maharani affirmed that the Indonesian People's Representative Council always supports the Government in strengthening relations with Vietnam, emphasizing the importance of enhancing people-to-people exchanges as a foundation for long-term friendship between the two countries; and promoting enhanced relations between Indonesian political parties and the Communist Party of Vietnam .
The two leaders agreed that Vietnam and Indonesia are two countries playing important roles in ASEAN, are reliable partners, and share many common interests and viewpoints. Both sides need to strive to further expand relations through Party, Government, Parliament , people's organizations, and local channels, contributing to strengthening and consolidating the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in the future.
General Secretary To Lam and Chairman Puan Maharani highly appreciated the comprehensive, positive, and effective relationship between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Indonesian People's Representative Council in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks over the past period; they agreed that both sides need to continue to promote and expand cooperation in all fields, including regular exchanges of high-level delegations and committees at all levels, and to strengthen the activities of the friendship parliaments of the two countries, in order to promote cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two legislative bodies.
The two leaders also agreed that both sides would continue to strengthen information exchange and close coordination, and support each other in international and regional forums.
The General Secretary expressed his hope that the Indonesian People's Delegation Council and the Vietnamese National Assembly, as representative bodies of the people of the two countries, would continue to make even more positive and strong contributions to the development of friendly relations, multifaceted cooperation, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.

Chairman Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin affirmed that, in his capacity, he would strive to play a positive role and contribute to promoting multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including sharing experiences in monitoring government activities and strengthening cooperation between localities of the two countries.
The two leaders agreed that strengthening cooperation between state power agencies at the central and local levels, and between friendship parliamentary groups of the two countries, would contribute to improving the effectiveness of the Vietnamese National Assembly and the legislative bodies of Indonesia.
During the meeting with the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Ahmad Muzani, General Secretary To Lam and Mr. Ahmad Muzani agreed that the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly should continue to strengthen exchanges of high-level delegations and committees at all levels, regularly exchange information, cooperate and support each other in international and regional parliamentary forums.

Both sides affirmed that the relationship between the two legislative bodies is an important component in the overall relationship between the two countries; they expressed their hope that the legislative bodies of both sides would continue to make positive contributions to the development of friendly relations, multifaceted cooperation, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia, through the drafting and promulgation of legal documents, and the creation of appropriate mechanisms and policies to implement cooperation in various fields, especially economics, trade, and investment between the two countries.
