Bonus for students who won silver medals at the European Physics Olympiad

On the afternoon of June 24, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen coordinated with Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted ( Phu Yen ) to organize a ceremony to honor and reward student Vo Minh Dang (grade 12 specializing in physics) for his achievement of winning a silver medal at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) in 2023.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province awarded a certificate of merit and a bonus of 30 million VND to honor and recognize the efforts in studying of student Vo Minh Dang over the past time.

In addition, this student also received awards from Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted 5 million VND, Phu Yen Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development 5 million VND and Phu Yen Province Association for Promotion of Education 2 million VND...

The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province presented a certificate of merit and a cash prize to student Vo Minh Dang.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Khac Le, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province, expressed the pride of the province's education sector. Besides the efforts of student Vo Minh Dang, the success was also due to the efforts, support, and training of the teaching staff of Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School.

Mr. Le thanked Dang for his training and efforts and hoped that future generations of students would follow in his footsteps and bring high achievements to the province.

The 2023 European Physics Olympiad will take place from June 16 to June 20, co-organized by Leibniz University (Hannover, Germany) and the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education. This year's competition will be attended by 28 European countries, 10 guest countries with 176 contestants.

Vietnamese student Vo Minh Dang won a silver medal, ranking 32nd out of 176 participating contestants.
