On June 14, 2024, the Department of Trade Remedies, Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed the complete validity of the requesting party's dossier requesting an investigation to apply anti-dumping measures on some hot-rolled steel products originating from India and China.
Previously, on May 31, 2024, the Trade Defense Department received a supplementary dossier requesting an investigation into the application of anti-dumping measures against certain hot-rolled steel products originating from India and China (hereinafter referred to as the Dossier) from representatives of the domestic manufacturing industry.
After reviewing the dossier, the Department of Trade Defense said that the dossier was complete and valid according to the provisions of Article 28 of Decree 10/2018/ND-CP dated January 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management on trade defense measures.
Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 70 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, from the date of issuance of the official dispatch notifying that the dossier is complete and valid, the Investigation Agency has 45 days to examine in detail the contents of the dossier and the basis for conducting the investigation in accordance with the provisions of Article 79 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.
Based on the results of the assessment and recommendations of the Investigation Agency, the Minister of Industry and Trade decides to investigate or not to investigate the case.
