Specifically, Noi Bai airport will stop operating until 12:00 a.m. on September 7 instead of 9:00 p.m. as previously decided. This is the second time the Department has decided to extend the closure of Noi Bai airport due to the storm.

Van Don and Cat Bi airports also extended the suspension of flights to 8:00 p.m. on September 7, instead of 4:00 p.m.

Although airports have stopped operating flights, passengers can still go to the terminal if needed.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi), about 400 flights are expected to be canceled on September 7. Vietnam Airlines alone had to cancel 34 domestic and international flights and adjust the operating hours of 78 other domestic and international flights.

Airports are required by authorities to prepare human resources and equipment to respond to storms and floods after storms; and to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Today, September 7, the railway industry also temporarily stopped operating 4 pairs of trains between Hanoi and Hai Phong, 1 pair of trains to Nghe An, NA1/NA2, and the Lao Cai route stopped trains SP3/SP4.

On September 8, the Hanoi- Hai Phong train pair HP1/LP2 also stopped operating.
