Serious landslides continue on National Highway 15C

In the early morning of August 26, heavy rain caused a serious landslide on Highway 15C, passing through Tao village, Trung Ly commune (Muong Lat). A mass of soil and gravel from the hill flowed down, blocking the road, making it impossible for vehicles to pass through this location.

At 6 a.m. on August 26, not knowing that a landslide had blocked National Highway 15C, many people and vehicles traveling towards the center of Muong Lat district or Quan Hoa district had to stop, causing a long traffic jam. Fortunately, the landslide did not affect the houses of households in Tao village, Trung Ly commune.

National Highway 15C being blocked by landslides in Tao village, Trung Ly commune does not isolate Muong Lat district, because people can still travel via Chieng Nua bridge connecting Trung Ly commune to the lowland districts and Thanh Hoa city.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities and functional forces mobilized human resources and machinery to the scene to fix the problem.
