Summary of socialization work on solidifying schools, classrooms and public housing for teachers

According to the report of the Ministry of Education and Training , in the period of 2013 - 2023, the whole country has more than 300 organizations, businesses, and individuals participating in the consolidation of schools, classrooms, and public housing for teachers. Over the past 10 years, about 36,000 classrooms, with a total investment of 33,000 billion VND, have been invested from socialized sources. However, the movement of socializing education, especially in remote areas, areas with difficult socio-economic conditions, is still limited, investment in facilities is still scattered... The goal set by 2030 is that the whole country will have 75,380 classrooms and nearly 10,800 public housing for teachers invested in construction.

In Lao Cai, in addition to the central government's support, the province has mobilized maximum resources and done a good job of socialization. Currently, it is focusing on implementing the construction of school and classroom facilities in the 2021-2025 period with a total of 255 projects, costing over VND 3,400 billion. The province also called for and attracted investment and developed non-public schools with a total capital of VND 1,500 billion. Currently, the rate of solid classrooms in Lao Cai is 82%.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long requested the Ministry of Education and Training to coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to continue reviewing, researching, and proposing preferential policies to encourage stronger participation of businesses and social organizations; taking into account the requirements arising in the process of implementing fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training. Provinces and cities continue to review and plan the network of educational institutions in the area, meeting the learning needs associated with the trend of urbanization and population shift.

At the conference, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in socialization of school, classroom and teacher housing consolidation in the period 2013 - 2023 were rewarded.
