In addition to the light of the decorative lighting system that creates a sparkling, magical atmosphere for the relic space, visitors can also admire the projection light of 3D Mapping technology. Through the projection, visitors learn about the tradition of respecting teachers, valuing talents, and the history of the formation and development of Vietnam's first university under the monarchy. In addition, visitors can also experience virtual reality glasses and enjoy traditional art performances.
The night tour of the Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy is divided into many areas for visitors to visit and experience. These are the Introduction area, the Achievement area, the Doctor's Stele Garden, the Great Achievement area, and the Thai Hoc area. In each area, the organizer has created highlights to increase the attractiveness of the tour and create memories for visitors.

Specifically, at the Entrance area (Van Mieu gate), visitors can enjoy the four words "The essence of education" projected right on the path, meaning that the main road leading to the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam is the path leading to the essence of Vietnamese education. Or the image of four reliefs "Tu linh huan tu" embedded in the roof-shaped frame, the image of a mother singing a lullaby to her child is performed using Mapping projection technology. The Thanh Dat area stands out with the colorful symbol of Khue Van Cac and right below is a traditional music performance program. The Doctor's Stele Garden area with the highlight of Thien Quang well is arranged with a system of LED strips around the well. Visitors can learn the basic content on each doctor's stele with the support of Mapping projection technology. The Dai Thanh area brings an interesting experience when visitors experience virtual reality glasses technology products, a space sketching a corner of the old exam school of the scholars.
The last area is the Thai Hoc area, which will bring many emotions to visitors when the 3D Mapping show takes place with the theme "The Quintessence of Taoism". The entire facade of the Front Hall on the Thai Hoc yard will turn into a large screen, helping visitors discover the most quintessential values in Vietnamese Taoism. "The Quintessence of Taoism" is inspired by the unique elements at the special national relic site of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, which has been associated with Vietnamese Taoism for many centuries.
Sharing at the night tour launch, Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Le Xuan Kieu said: Through the Covid-19 pandemic, the Center realized the need for innovation to adapt to current changes, especially in the context of Hanoi developing the cultural industry. The Center has built new products to better meet the needs of tourists when visiting Hanoi. In the coming time, the Center will improve the products to make the relic more attractive, becoming the creative center of Hanoi.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Van Bai, Vice Chairman of the National Cultural Heritage Council, the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam currently has two dual functions, both as a relic site and as a center for innovation and creativity in Hanoi. The event of launching the night tour is a typical example of public-private cooperation, bringing benefits to residents and visitors, helping to expand creative space at other relics. Experiencing the night tour will bring vitality to the heritages, so that Hanoi is worthy of being the Capital of a thousand years of culture, a Creative City.
Opening hours for the night tour of the Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy with the theme “The Quintessence of Confucianism” are from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The 3D Mapping experience hours are 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
