Hanoi Medical University has just announced a resolution appointing vice rectors in charge of academic affairs. Accordingly, Hanoi Medical University now has two additional vice rectors in charge of academic affairs: Associate Professor Le Dinh Tung and Associate Professor Ho Thi Kim Thanh.

According to Professor Ta Thanh Van, Chairman of the University Council of Hanoi Medical University, currently, the university has one rector and two vice rectors, while the university (with over 1,000 staff, lecturers, and employees) is allowed to have four rectors. However, it took many years for the university to complete the team of vice rectors.
"The four vice-principals are in charge of the four most important areas of a university training in the health sector: clinical medicine with Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thanh, community medicine with Ms. Kim Bao Giang, basic medicine with Mr. Le Dinh Tung, and finance with Mr. Pham Xuan Thang," Professor Ta Thanh Van said.
According to Professor Ta Thanh Van, Hanoi Medical University is pursuing many important plans to enhance its professional standing and scale. Currently, the university has many tasks to undertake, such as developing science and technology, expanding practical training facilities, and implementing projects and programs aimed at developing Hanoi Medical University into a university or ranking among the top 100 universities in Asia… Having the current leadership team is a favorable condition to help the university accomplish its set goals.
Associate Professor Le Dinh Tung and Associate Professor Ho Thi Kim Thanh are both 50 years old and both graduated from the General Medicine program at Hanoi Medical University in 1997.
Associate Professor Le Dinh Tung is currently the Head of the Physiology Department, Head of the University Training Management Office, and in charge of the Clinical Allergy and Immunology Department. He obtained his PhD from the Rike Institute of Brain Science, Japan in 2011 and was appointed Associate Professor at Hanoi Medical University in 2017.
Associate Professor Ho Thi Kim Thanh is currently the Head of the Family Medicine Department and Director of the Center for Family Medicine and Community Health Care at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. She graduated as a resident physician in 2001, received her PhD from Hanoi Medical University in 2014, and was appointed Associate Professor at Hanoi Medical University in 2018.
