Speaking to reporters on the afternoon of September 4th, Dr. Le Dinh Kha, Principal of Cao Thang Technical College (Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), said that the school was honored to be selected as one of 15 locations among universities and colleges nationwide to participate in the live broadcast of the national opening ceremony, which took place on the morning of September 5th.

Dr. Kha emphasized that this year's opening ceremony holds significant historical meaning for the school in particular and for students nationwide in general. Currently, preparations for the ceremony are complete, and the school will conduct a trial run of the program this afternoon.

"For the first time, vocational education is harmonizing with the entire national education system in a solemn opening ceremony. This also marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training ), signifying a long journey of development for the country's education system," shared Dr. Kha.

Cao Thang Technical College inaugurated the "Exhibition of Training Achievements – Cao Thang 119 Years" on the morning of September 4th.

Dr. Tran Manh Thanh, Principal of Bach Viet Polytechnic College, happily stated that this is the first time in the 80-year history of Vietnamese education that the opening ceremony has been held jointly for all levels of education.

According to Dr. Thanh, in previous years, the school's opening ceremony was usually held on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th. Currently, the school is in the process of completing its facilities and therefore cannot hold the opening ceremony on the scheduled date. However, the school has prepared a letter from the President of Vietnam to send to students and parents.

"This year's national opening ceremony takes place in the context of the country having just celebrated the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd. Every street and alley across the country is adorned with flags and happy smiles. I believe that these historical milestones will be a solid foundation, thereby helping Resolution 71 on breakthroughs in education and training development to take groundbreaking steps," Dr. Thanh emphasized.

Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics prepares for a vibrant red opening ceremony.

Thorough preparation from A to Z.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Vuong Khanh, Director of the Communication and Admissions Center at the Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics, said that the school usually holds its opening ceremony in October. With vocational education, the enrollment and training schedule is flexible, so the opening ceremony is also somewhat later than for preschool and high school levels. However, when all levels of education "join together to sound the school bell for the opening ceremony," it makes the event more solemn and meaningful for students.

"The school has installed LED screens, added flags and flowers, and is ready to welcome nearly 500 new students on this special day. After the ceremony, the new students will move to their classrooms to continue their activities and attend introductory skills classes," added Ms. Khanh.

According to Mr. Tran Minh Phung, Principal of Cu Chi Vocational College, in addition to being able to watch the program live on television for all students to follow, the school also awards many scholarships from businesses and local education promotion associations to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have excelled in their studies.

"As a vocational school located in the suburbs, the school certainly faces many difficulties, especially in student recruitment. However, the school always aims to create the best possible conditions for students to complete their studies and find stable employment," Ms. Phung expressed.
