"Special Announcement"

According to the announcement of the entrance exam scores for 10th grade at Marie Curie High School ( Hanoi ), the cutoff score for the first round of admissions at the My Dinh campus reached 42 points (equal to or higher than top-tier public high schools). Candidates registering at campus 1 should complete the enrollment procedures on July 5th.

If there are still vacancies, the school will conduct a second round of admissions at this campus with a cutoff score of 40 points, and applicants will complete the enrollment procedures on July 6th.

At the Van Phu (Ha Dong) campus of Marie Curie School, the cutoff score for the first round was 38 points, and for the second round was 36 points.

The cutoff score for admission to 10th grade at Marie Curie High School in Hanoi this year reached 42 points.

Notably, this year Marie Curie School also has a "special announcement" regarding the enrollment of 10th grade students at its newly completed and operational Viet Hung (Long Bien) campus, with 600 places available. This campus is also the largest, most modern, and most well-equipped campus of the school to date.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khang, Chairman of the School Board, shared: The reason for the word "special" is because this enrollment announcement was only released at the "last minute" after many days of anticipation. Three months ago, in early April, the enrollment announcement for 10th grade at the My Dinh and Van Phu campuses only stated: "Enrollment for 10th grade at the Viet Hung campus will be announced at an appropriate time."

By June, when students had finished their exams and were about to receive their results, and then the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the exam results, many parents anxiously asked if the school was accepting applications for the 10th grade at the Viet Hung campus, as they hadn't received any announcement yet. And the long-awaited moment arrived: Marie Curie High School's Viet Hung campus was officially established by the Hanoi People's Committee, licensed to operate by the Department of Education and Training, and allocated an enrollment quota.

According to the announcement, after parents and students register online for admission to the school from 6 PM on July 1st, the school will announce the cutoff scores for admission to the 10th grade at the Viet Hung campus on July 3rd and conduct enrollment procedures from July 4th to 5th.

Ta Quang Buu Secondary and High School has also just announced the cutoff score for the first round of admissions to grade 10 this year as 38 points and opened online registration from the afternoon of July 2nd. From 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on July 3rd, they will accept original documents from the group of students who have successfully registered online.

Students who did not meet the cutoff score in the first round can register on the waiting list at the same time as the first round to be prioritized for the second round of admissions if there are still vacancies. The cutoff scores for the second round (if any) are expected to be announced at 1:30 PM on July 3rd, prioritizing students who have registered on the waiting list.

Announcing the minimum qualifying score before finalizing the cutoff score.

Information regarding admissions and cut-off scores for 10th grade at Phan Huy Chú High School in Dong Da District, a fully autonomous public school in Hanoi, is eagerly awaited by parents, just as much as that of top-tier public schools.

While in previous years the school announced the cutoff scores immediately and proceeded with the enrollment procedures, this year, Phan Huy Chu High School announced a minimum score of 39.5 points or higher for students to register for online admission.

Candidates who meet the minimum score requirements and wish to enroll in the school can register online from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on July 2nd. After this time, the admissions software will automatically lock.

The school will review the entered candidate data, verify the information, and select candidates based on scores from highest to lowest until the quota is filled. They will then send emails to successful candidates and announce the cutoff scores. The announcement is expected to be made before 7:00 AM on July 3rd.

Candidates who receive an email notification of admission based on scores will submit their documents directly to the school. Any lowering of the admission cutoff score or supplementary admissions (if any) will be announced at 7:30 AM on July 4th.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, in addition to the public high school system, Hanoi will have more than 100 private schools, 29 vocational training centers, and nearly 50 vocational education institutions that enroll 10th-grade students. The enrollment quota for public schools is 81,200 students; the remaining 51,800 students will be enrolled in private schools, vocational training centers, and vocational education institutions.
