The Hanoi Department of Education and Training is organizing a quality assessment test for 11th and 12th grade students from March 20-23, aiming to evaluate student performance and prepare for the high school graduation exam.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just issued a plan for assessing the quality of 11th and 12th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year. According to the plan, the assessment will take place from March 20 to 23.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training will conduct an assessment for 11th-grade students on March 20th, covering two subjects: Literature (morning, 120 minutes) and Mathematics (afternoon, 90 minutes).

Students will take tests in Mathematics, Literature, and two elective subjects. Each student registers to choose two subjects for the survey from the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics and Law Education, Informatics, Industrial-oriented Technology (abbreviated as Industrial Technology), Agricultural-oriented Technology (abbreviated as Agricultural Technology), and English.

For foreign languages: Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean, unit heads, based on the actual situation, should proactively assign the task of creating test questions to subject teachers, ensuring accuracy, scientific rigor, and objectivity.

The structure of the survey test for 11th and 12th grade students will follow the regulations on the structure and format of the high school graduation exam from 2025 onwards.

The content of the survey and assessment closely follows the content of the current high school general education curriculum, mainly focusing on the subjects within the grade level being tested, up to the time of the test.

The survey aims to review and assess the quality of 11th and 12th grade students; to help educational management agencies, high schools, and vocational education and continuing education centers take timely measures to adjust and improve the quality of teaching and learning, promote the implementation of innovative teaching methods, meet the required learning outcomes in the General Education Program, organize effective preparation for the high school graduation exam for 12th grade students, and further improve the quality of the results of the high school graduation exam.

In addition, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training organized the survey to determine the level of completion of training and learning tasks of students according to the required standards in the current general education program; to provide accurate and timely information to help students adjust their training and learning activities; to create conditions for 11th and 12th grade students to familiarize themselves with the structure and format of the high school graduation exam; and at the same time to determine the right direction and focus well on preparing for the high school graduation exam.

This is the second year that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has organized a quality assessment test for 11th-grade students. Every year, Hanoi organizes this activity, but usually for 12th-grade students.

The survey organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has always received the support and agreement of students and parents. Although the results are not used as test scores or student evaluations, students are well aware of the significance and importance of this survey for their studies and for meeting the requirements of the high school graduation exam.
