After completing immigration procedures at the airport in the capital of Thailand, U.17 Vietnam took about 30 minutes to travel to Rama Gardens Hotel Bangkok to check in and have lunch. Because they had to wake up early, many young players seemed quite tired. Therefore, the coaching staff let the whole team work out at the gym and then relax in the hotel swimming pool.
U.17 Vietnam has had an advantage in adapting to the weather in Bangkok.
The weather in Bangkok at the moment is quite similar to the previous training location of U.17 Vietnam in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, so the players do not have too much difficulty adapting. This is considered a great advantage for the Vietnamese players to be able to practice and compete in the best way. However, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his colleagues still remind the members to pay attention to the air conditioning temperature and eating to ensure health for the training sessions as well as entering the first match with U.17 India.
Previously, coach Hoang Anh Tuan had finalized the list of 24 players. This list includes 3 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 6 midfielders and 5 strikers. U.17 Vietnam will bring 1 reserve player to Thailand. Before entering the 2023 AFC U-17 Championship, the coaching staff will officially reduce the list to 23 people as required by the organizing committee. Accordingly, the squad that Mr. Tuan brought to the land of the golden pagoda is a force consisting of the best players of the current U.17 generation of Vietnam.

Vietnam U17 will play against India U17 at 7pm on June 17, Japan U17 at 5pm on June 20 and Uzbekistan U17 at 7pm on June 23. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team will play all 3 matches at Thammasat Stadium.
At the 2023 AFC U-17 Championship, teams will compete in a round-robin format to determine rankings. The first and second teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals. The four winners of the quarter-finals will advance to the semi-finals and qualify for the 2023 AFC U-17 World Cup in October 2023.
