Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam Nikorndej Balankura, along with more than 150 delegates representing ministries, localities, and leading corporations/companies of Thailand (ThaiCham, SCG, CP, Ratch, etc.), attended the event.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed that the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand, after 47 years of establishing diplomatic relations, has become increasingly close and trustworthy.
People-to-people exchanges and local cooperation have developed strongly and substantively, becoming increasingly in-depth; practical and effective economic cooperation is a highlight in the relations between the two countries.
The Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that, with the motto " putting people, localities, and businesses at the center of service ," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to promote its role as a bridge, creating many forums and spaces for Vietnamese localities and businesses and their Thai partners to meet, exchange ideas, and move towards practical and effective cooperation, contributing to the successful implementation of the Action Program for the Enhanced Vietnam-Thailand Strategic Partnership for the period 2022-2027 and the "Three Connections" Strategy set forth by the high-level leaders of the two countries.
Representing the host locality, Mr. Vo Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, expressed his hope that the strengths and experience in technology, finance, international market networks, and business management skills of Thai enterprises, when combined with the advantages of Vietnamese localities, will bring great and practical benefits to both sides.

Ambassador Nikorndej Balankura emphasized that a key characteristic of Thai investors is that they are " quality investors "—always prioritizing business alongside responsibility and the sustainable development of the local community and its people.
In the first discussion session on "Renewable Energy - High-Tech Agriculture," the parties shared their orientations, development policies, proposals, recommendations, and the challenges and advantages in the process of development and cooperation in this field.
The second discussion session on “East-West Corridor: Promoting Supply Chain Cooperation and Integration” recorded many specific and important opinions from the parties involved in jointly developing the East-West Corridor to integrate regional and global supply chains.
Within the framework of the event, on the afternoon of August 3rd, the Quang Tri - Thailand Connection Seminar took place, attracting more than 250 delegates. The Organizing Committee also arranged nearly 100 working meetings and networking exchanges in both in-person and online formats.
In addition, the exhibition space showcasing typical Vietnamese and Thai products, with nearly 40 booths, attracted considerable attention from delegates attending the conference and local residents.

This is the first "Meeting Thailand" conference held to commemorate the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1976-2023) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Thailand (2013-2023). |
