At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Duong Hoa Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khoa emphasized that lifelong learning is the key for each individual to rise up and assert themselves in the digital age. This is not only a responsibility but also a sacred right for each individual to develop their abilities, creativity, and contribute to their family, society, and country.
For Duong Hoa commune, the Lifelong Learning Week aims to raise awareness and continue to foster and promote the nation's precious tradition of studiousness. It is also an opportunity for the locality and the entire society to work together to spread the message: Learn anytime, anywhere, in school, in society, and in the digital space, transforming learning into a self-driven need for each individual. Each person who constantly learns and trains is a positive nucleus, a healthy cell, contributing to the formation of a sustainable learning society, a strong and intelligent nation, capable of competing and reaching new heights in the era of global integration.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khoa suggested that villages, hamlets, and residential areas should intensify widespread propaganda about the purpose and significance of the Lifelong Learning Week through various forms such as public address systems, community group meetings, youth union branches, women's associations, and veterans' associations; and launch the "Learning Family," "Learning Clan," and "Learning Community" movements, linked with building a cultured way of life.
The entire community will implement the activities of the Week in either in-person or a combination of in-person and online formats to spread the message and practically integrate the theme of the Lifelong Learning Week into daily life; encourage teachers and students to utilize and disseminate learning methods, skills, and resources, contributing to building self-learning capacity in the digital age; prepare adequate facilities, equipment, and learning materials for the library system, especially digital libraries; establish linkages and connections with the continuing education system to build self-learning capacity in the digital age; organize training courses and guidance on skills for searching, accessing, and using information on the internet effectively and safely for students, trainees, parents, officials, civil servants, and workers.
The leaders of Duong Hoa commune called on all officials, Party members, citizens, teachers, and students in schools to actively participate in the lifelong learning movement. If each person learns something new, society will take another step forward.
To ignite a passion for learning, students at Duong Lieu Secondary School introduced the book "Living Forever with the Capital" by author Nguyen Huy Tuong. The work not only recreates the heroic and glorious period of Hanoi 's army and people in the early days of the resistance war, but also presents a vivid picture of indomitable spirit, sacrifice, and profound patriotism.
At the ceremony, delegates performed the ritual of pressing the button to officially open and launch the 2025 Lifelong Learning Week.
