Duong Hoa Commune organized a two-day tea workshop on September 14-15.

The workshop is expected to be attended by 75 delegates, including scientists and leading experts from the Northern Mountainous Region Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology, the Vietnam Tea Association, the Vietnam Tea Science and Technology Association; representatives from localities, cooperatives and tea-growing farmers.

The main objective of the workshop is to strengthen leadership, apply technological advancements in tea production, processing, and consumption, improve productivity and quality, ensure food safety, and especially focus on developing the Duong Hoa tea brand, increasing value and income for the people.

Tea is the main economic crop in Duong Hoa.

The workshop also provided an opportunity for tea growers and producers to exchange experiences and introduce programs and projects for the development of tea production. The compilation of opinions from scientists and delegates will provide comprehensive and synchronized scientific solutions to build and develop the Duong Hoa tea brand, enhancing its value and income for the people.

The workshop will include a series of activities such as a field trip to Quang Long 8 tea plantation and tea processing facilities; hands-on tea roasting; tea tasting, tea brewing demonstrations, cultural performances, and tea product exhibitions.

The Duong Hoa Tea Workshop is a key activity aimed at implementing the Resolution of the First Congress of the Duong Hoa Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, towards sustainable agricultural, forestry, and fisheries development and maximizing the potential of OCOP products in the commune.
