On the morning of August 30, Nguyen Hue High School held a ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Phuong, Principal of Nguyen Hue High School, said: Nguyen Hue High School was established in 1955. After 70 years of construction and development, the school has become one of the cradles that has trained many generations of students in the old Phu Yen province, providing high-quality human resources for the country.

Many former students of the school have held important positions, contributing to building and defending the homeland.

Nguyen Hue High School has been awarded by the State with the Third Class Liberation Medal, Third Class Labor Medal, Second Class Labor Medal, First Class Labor Medal and many excellent emulation flags leading the industry, many certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Public Security , Central Youth Union, Central Red Cross Society, General Confederation of Labor, Provincial People's Committee, Department of Education and Training.

Entering a new stage of development, to further improve the quality of education in the province, the Director of the Department of Education and Training requested that management staff innovate school administration; teachers continue to improve the quality of education; and ensure fairness in access to quality education for learners.

At the same time, the school continues to deploy and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program associated with teaching 2 sessions/day, gradually making English the second language in schools; enhancing digital capacity, digital transformation skills and technology-related education; focusing on comprehensive education: knowledge - skills - qualities - ideals, so that the young generation can integrate internationally while still preserving Vietnamese cultural identity.

On this occasion, the collective of Nguyen Hue High School and 5 individuals of the school were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training for their outstanding achievements in building and developing the school. The Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in management and teaching. Nguyen Hue High School also awarded 17 teachers with outstanding achievements.

At the same time, the school's Alumni Association awarded 102 scholarships (1 - 2.5 million VND/scholarship) to students with difficult circumstances and excellent academic achievements.
