On December 30th, the Command of Military Region 7 held a press conference to provide information about the "Spring for Soldiers" program in 2025, with many meaningful highlights focusing on border and island areas during the Tet holiday and the arrival of spring.
According to Major General Hoang Dinh Chung, Head of Political Department of Military Region 7, this year's "Spring for Soldiers" program was organized by the Command of Military Region 7 in coordination with the Party committees and authorities of many border and island localities.

Therefore, in order to promote the tradition of mutual support and compassion, and to mobilize resources to care for the material and spiritual lives of officers, soldiers, policy beneficiary families, families in difficult circumstances in border areas, islands, and ethnic minority communities.
According to Major General Hoang Dinh Chung, the funding for this year's "Spring for Soldiers" program comes from social mobilization, harnessing the combined strength of the political system and the entire society. On average, the "Spring for Soldiers" program receives approximately 5 billion VND in support each year to provide Tết (Lunar New Year) celebrations for disadvantaged people and military personnel in border and island areas.
Accordingly, this year's program will include a ceremony to offer incense at the Monument to the Traditional Armed Forces of Military Region 7 and the Long An Province Revolutionary Historical Relic Site; and the inauguration and handover of a kindergarten and houses of gratitude for military and civilians. Specifically, a kindergarten will be donated in Thanh Hoa district, with a budget of 5.2 billion VND; and seven houses of gratitude for military and civilians will be donated to officers, soldiers, and families of ethnic minorities and religious groups facing particularly difficult circumstances, with Military Region 7 providing 80 million VND for each house.
The highlight was the art program themed "Epic of Vam Co Dong," held at the Duc Hue District Cultural Park in Long An Province. The program was broadcast live on Long An Provincial Television and rebroadcast on Ho Chi Minh City Television and other provincial television stations within Military Region 7.
The 10th "Spring for Soldiers" program in 2025 will take place on January 17, 2025, in Duc Hue district, Long An province. This is the birthplace of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 on December 10, 1945. The program is organized by the Command of Military Region 7 in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Long An province.
