Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc requested the Ministry of Finance to release 182,585 kg of rice and supplies and equipment from the national reserves to the provinces of Hung Yen, Cao Bang, Phu Tho, and Bac Kan to help them overcome the consequences of typhoon No. 3.
Specifically, Hung Yen province received the following support: 1 DT3 type speedboat; 1,000 life jackets; 1,000 lifebuoys; 10 sets of 24.5m² rescue tents; 1 30KVA generator; and 32,585 kg of rice.

Cao Bang province received the following support: 1 DT2 type speedboat; 40 sets of 24.5m² rescue tents; 1,000 life jackets; 1,000 lifebuoys; 20 lightweight rescue rafts; 5 fire-fighting water pumps; 2 generators (including: 1 30KVA and 1 50KVA).
Phu Tho province received the following support: 1 DT2 type speedboat, 3 50 KVA generators; 1,123 life jackets; 445 lifebuoys; 10 lightweight life rafts; 2 sets of drilling and cutting equipment; 2 sets of concrete breaking drills; 2 sets of rescue rope launching equipment (guide rope launching devices).
Bac Kan province received 150,000 kg of rice as assistance.
In Decision 985, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health to release 1,765,000 Aquatabs 67mg water disinfectant tablets free of charge from the national reserve to the provinces of Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Bac Kan, Vinh Phuc, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, and the Ministry of Health to mitigate the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.
Specifically: Lao Cai province: 1,000,000 tablets; Phu Tho province: 100,000 tablets; Bac Kan province: 50,000 tablets; Vinh Phuc province: 15,000 tablets; Dien Bien province: 100,000 tablets; Cao Bang province: 200,000 tablets; Ministry of Health: 300,000 tablets.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance, according to their assigned functions and duties, to be responsible for the basis, information, and data in their reports and proposals.
The People's Committees of the provinces of Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Bac Kan, Vinh Phuc, Dien Bien, Cao Bang and the Ministry of Health shall organize timely support, ensuring it is provided to the right beneficiaries, effective, and for the intended purpose, and shall submit reports (to the Ministry of Finance) in accordance with regulations.
In recent days, Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3) has caused heavy rain, landslides, and widespread flooding in many provinces and cities in the Northern and North Central regions of Vietnam. The provinces of Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Bac Kan, Vinh Phuc, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, and Hung Yen suffered the most damage from Typhoon Yagi and its aftermath. To urgently address the consequences, local authorities are mobilizing forces to clean up, restore transportation, electricity, and telecommunications, and quickly stabilize the lives of the people.
