6 candidates had an accident while taking the exam in a private room

Regarding the preparation for the 10th grade entrance exam, Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this year, 6 candidates had accidents but still participated in the exam.

To support candidates to participate in the exam safely and in accordance with regulations, at the exam site where the candidate had an accident, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has arranged separate rooms. These exam rooms are equipped with cameras and 1 teacher who specializes in a different subject, from a school outside the district to supervise the exam; at the same time, there are medical staff to monitor.

This year's 10th grade entrance exam had a total of 98,681 candidates. Of these, 98,681 registered for 3 regular options; 7,622 registered for specialized options.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has arranged 158 testing sites, including 11 specialized testing sites, with 4,334 rooms.

The HCM City Department of Education and Training also noted that the items candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room include: Pens; rulers; pencils; erasers; squares; rulers; handheld calculators without text editing functions and without memory cards; Vietnam Geography Atlas compiled according to the 2006 GeneralEducation Program (without markings or writing any other content).

Candidates are prohibited from bringing into the examination room: Carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages; weapons and explosives, flammable substances; documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the examination.
