In the first nine months of 2024, Long An's industrial parks attracted over $674 million in FDI.
Besides attracting 75 FDI projects with a total newly registered investment capital of over 540 million USD, Long An's industrial parks also saw 68 adjusted FDI projects with a total adjusted capital increase of over 134 million USD.

According to the Long An Economic Zone Management Board, from the beginning of this year to September 20, 2024, industrial parks in the province have attracted 96 investment projects, including 75 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and 21 domestic projects, with a total newly registered investment capital of over 540 million USD and over 1,227 billion VND; the leased land area is 28.39 hectares.
In addition, there were 84 projects with adjusted capital, including 68 FDI projects with a total adjusted capital increase of over 134 million USD; and 16 domestic projects with a total adjusted capital increase of over 326 billion VND.
Compared to the same period in 2023, total FDI increased by 6% (US$674.39 million/US$636.44 million); total domestic investment decreased by 93% (VND 1,553.15 billion/VND 22,774.73 billion).
Long An province currently has 36 industrial parks established with a total planned area of 9,693.29 hectares. Of these, 26 industrial parks are eligible for investment with a planned area of 5,982.14 hectares (4,278 hectares of industrial land, with over 2,912 hectares already leased), achieving an occupancy rate of 68.08%; 10 industrial parks have received investment approval from the Prime Minister and are currently undergoing procedures, land clearance, and infrastructure investment with an area of 2,908.49 hectares.
According to Decision No. 686/QD-TTg dated June 13, 2023, of the Prime Minister on approving the Long An Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the Long An provincial planning for the period 2021-2030 includes 51 industrial parks with a total planned area of 12,433 hectares.
