The workshop "Digital Waves for Survival" attracted special attention from the business community and technology experts.
At the Made by Vietnam Day 2025 event co-organized by Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) and Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), the seminar "Digital Waves for Survival" attracted special attention from the business community and technology experts.
The theme of the workshop revolved around the digital transformation wave - a continuous process with constantly innovating methods and processes. The speakers emphasized that in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, digital transformation is no longer a choice, but has become a vital condition for all businesses, regardless of size or field of operation. The workshop provided a strategic perspective, helping businesses "catch the wave" in time, identifying opportunities to survive and develop.
In recent years, Vietnam has made significant progress in the digital transformation process. At the same time, the Party and the State have issued a series of policies to promote the application and development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation through important resolutions, strategies and decisions.

During the discussion, Mr. Nguyen The Vinh - Chairman of the Blockchain Association of Ho Chi Minh City - brought a multi-dimensional perspective on blockchain technology. He affirmed that blockchain is not a temporary trend, as evidenced by the fact that the company he founded has been operating in this field for 8 years.
According to Mr. Vinh, blockchain today can be compared to the internet 40 years ago - in its early stages, but is one of the few technologies that offers Vietnam the opportunity to enter the group of leading countries, different from AI or other fields. He highly appreciated the Government's inclusion of blockchain in the national strategy list, considering this as a driving force for Vietnam to rise to the top of Southeast Asia by 2030.
However, he also noted that not all businesses need to apply blockchain. This technology is especially suitable for the financial and transactional fields, and can be effectively applied to specific problems such as traceability, intellectual property (IP) registration, or community management in the gaming industry.
“The first and most important step is for businesses to openly assess themselves to determine whether they really need it or not,” Mr. Vinh shared. In essence, blockchain was born to solve two inherent problems: trust and administrative procedures, thereby helping to optimize costs and time.
He concluded that the role of blockchain for each business is different. For some units, it is just a communication tool; but for specific businesses in the financial industry or his own company, blockchain is a vital factor.

Vietnamese businesses need to proactively equip themselves with knowledge, technology and appropriate strategies to not only survive but also thrive on the global digital economic map.
The workshop “Digital Wave for Survival” left many profound messages: digital transformation and blockchain are not only a trend but also the “key” to improving competitiveness, optimizing resources and expanding the market. In the context of deep integration and increasing competitive pressure, Vietnamese enterprises need to proactively equip themselves with knowledge, technology and appropriate strategies to not only stand firm but also rise strongly on the global digital economic map.
