Speaking at the seminar, journalist Phung Cong Suong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, said that on December 1, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 1284/CD-TTg on strengthening the management and use of electronic invoices for petroleum business and retail activities. Previously, on November 18, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 1123/CD-TTg on strengthening the management and use of electronic invoices, contributing to promoting digital transformation.
"The fact that the Prime Minister has consecutively issued two urgent telegrams requesting the tax sector to implement the policy shows the Government 's great interest in promoting implementation activities related to strengthening the management and use of electronic invoices for petroleum business and retail activities," said journalist Phung Cong Suong.

During this time, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation also sent official dispatches to localities and units directing departments, branches and organizations to coordinate with local tax authorities to establish interdisciplinary inspection teams to work with retail gasoline stores to grasp the current situation of implementing electronic invoices for each sale. The implementation of electronic invoices with codes initiated by tax authorities will actively contribute to digital transformation, prevent revenue loss and increase state budget revenue.
At the same time, organizations, businesses and individuals when buying gasoline at retail stores require sellers to issue invoices according to the exact quantity of goods purchased, which is also a solution to help strengthen tax management, create civilized consumption habits, and buy and sell goods with invoices and legal documents.
“We know that businesses have affirmed their commitment to seriously implementing the application of electronic invoices for each sale as directed by the Prime Minister as well as by the relevant agencies. However, businesses are currently facing many difficulties, obstacles and even emerging shortcomings in the implementation of electronic invoices for each sale of petroleum businesses and organizations in localities,” said journalist Phung Cong Suong.
