(CLO) On January 9th, Dan Tri Newspaper held an awards ceremony in Hanoi for the ESG Initiative for a Sustainable Vietnam writing competition, honoring outstanding authors and works that address issues related to the environment, society, and governance.
Launched in August 2024, the ESG Initiative for a Sustainable Vietnam competition, organized by Dan Tri newspaper, attracted participation from readers nationwide. Nearly 100 high-quality entries were selected and published on the competition's dedicated page. On January 9th, the organizing committee awarded prizes to the winning authors, with one first prize, one second prize, and three third prizes.

Journalist Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper, said that most of the entries closely adhered to the theme, offering practical and creative initiatives to address issues related to the environment, society, and governance. Each initiative conveyed a positive message, reflecting the shared aspiration to build a prosperous, sustainable Vietnam that integrates with global trends in ESG.
As a competition aimed at finding initiatives to realize the goals of minimizing negative impacts on the environment, protecting natural resources, using renewable energy, recycling products, managing waste, etc., the authors chose many creative approaches, from inventing new building materials, building wastewater and waste treatment systems, raising community awareness, to business management, gender equality…
The active participation of diverse groups, from students, teachers, lecturers, business owners, engineers, and social activists, demonstrates a spirit of sharing, community connection, and the dissemination of ESG ideas and initiatives, as well as the solidarity of Vietnamese people nationwide towards the common goal of promoting the sustainable development of the nation.
