After more than 20 days of closure to repair the severe damage caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi), representatives of Quang Ninh Museum announced that it will officially reopen the facility and welcome visitors again from September 30.

Specifically, the museum is open on weekdays from 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm. Visitors who visit outside of normal hours should contact 2 days in advance. Ticket price for adults is 40,000 VND/person; Students and trainees are 20,000 VND/person; Children are 10,000 VND/person.
Quang Ninh Museum is one of the iconic structures and a popular destination for domestic and international tourists in Quang Ninh province. Storm No. 3 caused severe damage to this place.
Hundreds of square meters of glass were broken, many steel frames and roofs were severely damaged, decorative trees were broken, and many billboards and posters were blown away by the wind.
Up to now, the museum has completed the work of overcoming the damage after the storm such as: General cleaning inside and outside the facility, repairing light pipes, breaking broken glass, cleaning escalators and elevators, and transporting and installing waste.
At the same time, check and repair electrical equipment, water, fire alarms, security cameras, monitors, lighting,...
The exhibition spaces have been adjusted and supplemented to ensure image quality. The ticketing system has also returned to normal operation.
Quang Ninh tourism industry also suffered heavy losses. However, after many days of difficult recovery after the storm, many units, businesses, and famous tourist destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Co To, Mong Cai, Bai Chay, Hon Gai,... have gradually resumed operations.
Today (September 30), Quang Ninh also welcomed the 5-star super yacht Costa Serena carrying nearly 3,500 Chinese guests and more than 1,000 crew members to Ha Long international passenger port.
Tourists will visit Ha Long Bay, take a city tour to explore local culture and cuisine . The ship will leave Ha Long at 6pm on the same day. In October and November, the Costa Serena cruise will return to Ha Long 4 more times.
In 2024, Quang Ninh Museum had the highest number of visitors during the summer. In total, since the beginning of the year, it has welcomed over 650,000 visitors, including about 19,000 international visitors. Revenue from ticket sales reached over 19.2 billion VND, an increase of nearly 5% over the same period in 2023.
