National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man , Head of the Steering Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam, attended and delivered a speech at the Opening Ceremony of the National Assembly Museum of Vietnam and the Ceremony to announce the books, publications and issue postage stamps commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam.

Reporting at the ceremony, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh said that the National Assembly Tradition Office was established in 1999. After 25 years of operation, serving National Assembly deputies and the people, it has made many contributions, additions and developments.
Up to now, after being confirmed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as eligible to be upgraded to a museum; on September 25, 2025, the Office of the National Assembly issued Decision No. 1268 on the establishment of the Vietnam National Assembly Museum.
The museum has been invested and upgraded with an exhibition area of 800m², introducing nearly 1,000 images, documents and more than 250 artifacts, typically: the Constitution collection, badges of National Assembly deputies of all terms, seals of the Standing Committee of the 1st National Assembly (from 1946 - 1960); red flag with yellow star at the Tan Trao National Congress in 1945; ballot boxes for the 1st National Assembly (1946); light sculpture "The Power of the People's Heart"...

The museum recreates the 80-year journey of construction, innovation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly. Each artifact is a vivid testament to the dedication, intelligence and responsibility of generations of leaders and National Assembly deputies.
Regarding the books, publications and postage stamps commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Mr. Le Quang Manh said that the first book is the book "Vietnam National Assembly: 80 years of construction, innovation and development"; the second book is the book History of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Volume 5 (2011-2025); the third book is the book "50 years of relations between the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic - Cooperation and development"; the fourth book is the bilingual photo book "80 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly (1946-2026)".
In addition, for the first time, the Office of the National Assembly coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology to issue a special postage stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the opening ceremony of the Vietnam National Assembly Museum and the announcement of the book and postage stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam National Assembly is an event of special political, cultural and historical significance, contributing to helping the public better understand the history of formation, development, position and role of the National Assembly in the history of development of the Vietnamese nation.

Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Duc Long performed the signing ceremony to issue the postage stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam.
The National Assembly Chairman acknowledged and commended the efforts, sense of responsibility and great contributions of agencies, units, scientists, experts and staff, civil servants who directly participated, closely coordinated, digitized artifacts, images and collected products on display today.
In particular, the Vietnam National Assembly Museum inaugurated today is a meaningful project, contributing to completing the comprehensive picture of the 80-year history of the National Assembly, from the History Room - Museum (1999), to the National Assembly Tradition Room (2014) and now the National Assembly Museum.
“This is a place to preserve, conserve and spread the precious values of 80 years of the National Assembly; to honor the contributions of National Assembly leaders through the periods, the sense of responsibility and devotion to the Fatherland and the people of generations of National Assembly deputies” - the National Assembly Chairman stated.
In order for the Vietnam National Assembly Museum to be more effective in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman requested that agencies and comrades assigned to manage and operate it promote professionalism, modernity and creativity in their activities; proactively research, collect and supplement valuable documents and artifacts; apply modern technology and digital transformation; build a digital database of documents and artifacts; research and edit displays, create optimal technical and artistic spaces...
