To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day on February 27th (1955 – 2025), this afternoon, February 26th, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department Phan Van Phung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang; and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam visited the staff, doctors, and nurses of Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital.

At the meeting, the Director of the Provincial General Hospital, Phan Xuan Nam, gave a brief report on the hospital's activities over the past period.

Accordingly, Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital has a total area of ​​21 hectares with a capacity of 1,170 beds and 36 functional departments and wards; nearly 850 doctors, medical staff, and workers, and many modern medical machines and equipment serving diagnosis and treatment. The number of outpatients treated reaches 900-1200 patients/day; inpatients treated reach 1100-1200 patients/day.

Medical examination and treatment have made remarkable progress, mastering many new, modern, and specialized techniques.

In addition, the hospital regularly provides training and technology transfer to lower-level facilities, contributing to improving the quality of primary healthcare.

Public satisfaction with the hospital is increasing, with both the percentage of letters of praise and patient satisfaction ratings through the Mscore system exceeding 90%, reflecting the hospital's trust and reputation in providing healthcare services to the public.

Speaking to congratulate the staff, doctors, and nurses of Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai acknowledged and highly appreciated the hospital's significant progress in recent times. The hospital's facilities are on par with other hospitals in the region, with many modern medical machines and equipment, meeting the increasingly high demands of diagnosis and treatment.

Medical examination and treatment have made significant progress, mastering many new, modern, and specialized techniques that have been researched and implemented in internal medicine, surgery, and paraclinical systems. The hospital's staff, including doctors and medical personnel, are increasingly meeting the demands of their duties. Many doctors and medical staff have developed research projects and initiatives that have been applied in medical examination and treatment practice.

The Provincial Party Secretary expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Provincial General Hospital will strive to overcome all difficulties and continuously improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. At the same time, it should successfully fulfill its duties in admitting, providing emergency care, and treating patients. It should further promote research, application, and development of new and specialized techniques; participate in training human resources, and transfer technology to lower-level hospitals.

Proactively and flexibly organize procurement, bidding, and solutions to ensure sufficient medicines and medical equipment for examination and treatment activities. Continue to promote administrative reform, apply information technology, and digital transformation in all examination and treatment activities.

Strengthening international cooperation and training and developing a team of doctors and medical staff who are truly "Brilliant in medical ethics - Profound in medical theory - Excellent in medical skills". With a rich tradition and experience, we are confident that the leadership and staff of the hospital will continue to uphold the spirit of unity and strive to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.

On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai presented flowers and gifts to the leadership, staff, and doctors of the Provincial General Hospital to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day on February 27th.

Earlier, provincial leaders visited and inspected several departments and wards, checking the physical conditions, machinery, and equipment to ensure the hospital's medical examination and treatment services.
