On the evening of July 13th, thousands of people flocked to both banks of the Han River in Da Nang to watch the final round of the 2024 International Fireworks Festival.

Having impressed audiences with their outstanding fireworks displays earlier, the competition between the Chinese and Finnish teams in the final night attracted a great deal of attention.
According to Tuoi Tre Online, although the fireworks display didn't start until 8:30 PM, locals and tourists had already been flocking to both banks of the Han River since late afternoon. Spots with good views of the fireworks were already fully booked.
One of the most crowded spots was on the Han River Bridge. Even before 8 PM, the rotating bridge was packed with people. Many tried to squeeze through the crowd to find the best vantage point for the fireworks display.
Despite being lucky enough to secure a good spot on the Han River Bridge early in the morning, Ms. Le Do Nha Phuong (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City) still felt suffocated by the crowded conditions.
"I arrived here at 6 PM, but very quickly there wasn't a single empty spot around me. Although it was quite tiring and hot, this was my chance to witness world- class fireworks displays firsthand," said Ms. Phuong.

Along both sides of Tran Hung Dao and Bach Dang streets, thousands of people spread out tarpaulins and raincoats to sit and wait to enjoy the fireworks.
While watching the fireworks and enjoying some snacks, Mr. Tran Van Hoang (a tourist from Quang Tri ) said that his family was very happy to experience this wonderful moment.
“This year’s fireworks display was truly spectacular. I feel quite regretful that the 2024 International Fireworks Festival will end tonight. If we have the chance, my family and I will continue to come to Da Nang to watch the fireworks in the coming years,” said Mr. Hoang.
