Provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers and volunteer laborers on the frontline participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

* The delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, led by Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers living in Ninh Binh city.

Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Nguyen Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Dinh Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and functional agencies of the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan and the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Vu Van Hop - a Dien Bien soldier (101 years old) at Duc The street, Ninh Phong ward and the family of Mr. Hoang Thien Bach - a Dien Bien soldier (92 years old) at street 14, Van Giang ward.

The Provincial Party Secretary and delegates kindly inquired about the health and life of Dien Bien soldiers and their families; expressed respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Dien Bien soldiers in the resistance war against French colonialism, contributing with the whole country to the Dien Bien Phu victory that resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Provincial Party Secretary presented gifts to the families. At the same time, he wished the Dien Bien soldiers good health, to be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren to follow and continue the tradition of their ancestors, contributing their intelligence and efforts to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

* On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the morning of April 16, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province led by Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers and frontline laborers in Yen Mo district.

Also attending were comrade Dang Trong Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council, Provincial Military Command; and leaders of Yen Mo district.

The delegation visited Mr. Tran Mai Xuyen (Hamlet 9, Yen My Commune), a military intelligence officer with the mission of reconnaissance, information gathering, and communication during the Dien Bien Phu campaign; Mr. Truong Van Hanh (Dong Loc Village, Yen Nhan Commune), a frontline laborer, whose mission was to transport food supplies to the frontline.

At the families he visited, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee kindly asked about their health and living conditions and presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation for the great contributions of Dien Bien soldiers and frontline workers who contributed to the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished them longevity, peace and happiness, and to be a spiritual support for their children and the younger generation to follow. At the same time, he requested that localities continue to pay attention to and implement well the Party and State's policies and regimes for those with meritorious services; together with their families, do a good job of caring for and supporting them, continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and civilized homeland.

On this occasion, Provincial Police Director Dang Trong Cuong and Yen Mo district leaders also presented gifts to the families.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Pham Van Uyen (92 years old), a Dien Bien soldier in Thuong - Nhuan Hai hamlet, Khanh Hai commune and the family of Mr. Tran Trong Phuong (93 years old), a Dien Bien soldier, a 4/4 war invalid in Phu Son hamlet, Khanh Phu commune.

At the families he visited, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee kindly asked about the families' lives and wished the Dien Bien soldiers continued good health, overcoming difficulties, and living happily and healthily with their children and grandchildren.

Expressing respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of veterans in the resistance war against French colonialism, creating the Dien Bien Phu victory "famous in five continents, shaking the world", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that veterans and soldiers of Dien Bien and their families would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition and good qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", remind and educate the younger generation about patriotism, sense of responsibility for the homeland, and join hands to build the homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

Affirming that the Party and State always pay attention to implementing policies of gratitude with all their hearts, remembering the contributions of those who have contributed to the revolution, veteran revolutionary cadres, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that local Party committees, authorities, and organizations continue to pay attention, encourage, and ensure the best conditions to care for and support those who have contributed to the revolution in general, and the families of Dien Bien soldiers in particular, thereby effectively implementing policies of gratitude and social security in the area.

* On the morning of April 16, comrade Dinh Viet Dung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers in Tam Diep city. Accompanying him were representatives of a number of provincial agencies and units; and leaders of Tam Diep city.

The delegation visited Mr. Le Anh Huong in residential group 15, Bac Son ward; participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1953; former Director of Dong Giao Hospital. Visited Mr. Nguyen Duc Khien in residential group Ly Nhan, Yen Binh ward; participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign from April 1953 to May 1954; Mr. Khien is enjoying retirement benefits.

At the families visited, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, comrade Dinh Viet Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, presented gifts from the province and kindly inquired about the health and family situation of the Dien Bien soldiers.

He expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Dien Bien soldiers in the resistance war against the French. He hoped that Dien Bien soldiers and their families would continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, pass on the revolutionary spirit to the next generation, and contribute their intelligence and efforts to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

* On April 16, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province led by Comrade Bui Hoang Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and presented gifts to the families of Dien Bien soldiers in Hoa Lu district.

Also attending were representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Labor Federation, and the Provincial Veterans Association.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Hoang Ha and the delegation visited, presented gifts and encouraged the family of Mr. Nguyen Quang Khai, in Hamlet 2 La Mai, Ninh Giang Commune and the family of Mr. Ha Van Chung, in Kha Luong Village, Ninh Thang Commune. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hopes that Dien Bien soldiers will continue to live happily and healthily, setting a good example for their children and the younger generation to follow.

* On the morning of April 16, comrade Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers (who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign) currently living in Kim Son district. Accompanying him were leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Military Command; the Provincial Veterans Association; the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of Kim Son district.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Lai Van Linh, born in 1931, in Tri Chinh street, Phat Diem town and Mr. Truong Van Ly, born in 1931, in hamlet 4, Hoi Ninh commune. The two men directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

At the places visited, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to Dien Bien soldiers and kindly inquired about their health and life.

He was delighted to see that despite their advanced age, the elders were still clear-minded and living happily and healthily with their children and grandchildren. He also expressed his respect and gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien soldiers in the resistance war against the French, creating the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world". He wished the elders to take care of their health and, together with their families, continue to promote the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and the spirit of Dien Bien soldiers to contribute their intelligence and efforts to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

Dien Bien soldiers thanked the province for its attention, shared and recalled memorable memories of the Dien Bien Phu campaign and hoped that future generations would continue to fulfill their responsibility to protect, build and develop their homeland and country.

* On the morning of April 16, comrade Bui Mai Hoa, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and a working delegation from the province and Gia Vien district visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers in Gia Vien district.

In Xuan Lai village, Gia Tien commune, the delegation visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Do Huu Chi (born in 1924), an artillery soldier participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

Respecting and being grateful for the contributions and sacrifices of Mr. Do Huu Chi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Bui Mai Hoa affirmed: Promoting the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation, in recent years, the province has always paid attention to leading and directing all levels, sectors and localities to well implement the gratitude movements and social security policies for families of war invalids, martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department presented gifts to Mr. Do Huu Chi and wished him to continue to live happily and healthily with his children and grandchildren.

The delegation then visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldier Tran Doan (born in 1927) in hamlet 9, Gia Thang commune. In 1950, following the sacred call of the Fatherland, Mr. Tran Doan volunteered to join the army. As the Battalion Commander of the Information Battalion, Mr. Tran Doan bravely, despite danger, contributed to ensuring good information and propaganda work for our troops during the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

In particular, Mr. Tran Doan also has a younger brother, Mr. Tran Minh Tranh (born in 1935), who was also a soldier participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. During their time in the war, the two brothers, Mr. Tran Doan and Mr. Tran Minh Tranh, were awarded many medals and orders by the Party and the State. Currently, Mr. Tran Doan has 71 years of Party membership, and Mr. Tran Minh Tranh has 65 years of Party membership.

Expressing gratitude and deep appreciation for the great contributions of previous generations, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Bui Mai Hoa requested that all levels, sectors and localities in Gia Vien district continue to do a good job in social security work, repay gratitude, and care for the lives of families of war invalids, martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution.
