Provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers and youth volunteers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

* A delegation from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, led by Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu veterans, youth volunteers, and civilian workers on the front lines currently residing in Ninh Binh city.

Accompanying them were comrades: Le Huu Quy, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Internal Affairs Committee; Nguyen Hoang Ha, Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province; Dinh Van Tien, Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee; and leaders of several departments, agencies, and functional bodies of the province.

Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and his delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Vu Van Hop, a Dien Bien Phu veteran (101 years old), residing in Duc The Street, Ninh Phong Ward, and the family of Mr. Hoang Thien Bach, a Dien Bien Phu veteran (92 years old), residing in Street 14, Van Giang Ward.

The Provincial Party Secretary and delegates cordially inquired about the health and well-being of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers and their families; expressing their respect and gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers in the resistance war against French colonialism, contributing together with the whole country to the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory that shook the world.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Provincial Party Secretary presented gifts to the families. He also wished the Dien Bien Phu soldiers good health, hoping they would be a source of inspiration for their children and grandchildren to follow, continue the traditions of their ancestors, and contribute their intellect and efforts to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

* On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the morning of April 16, a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, led by Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu soldiers and civilian workers on the front lines in Yen Mo district.

Accompanying him were Comrade Dang Trong Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Public Security Department; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Military Command; and leaders of Yen Mo district.

The delegation visited Mr. Tran Mai Xuyen (Hamlet 9, Yen My Commune), an intelligence soldier tasked with reconnaissance, information gathering, and communication during the Dien Bien Phu campaign; and Mr. Truong Van Hanh (Dong Loc Village, Yen Nhan Commune), a civilian worker on the front lines, responsible for transporting food supplies to the front.

During his visits to the families, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cordially inquired about their health and living conditions, and presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, expressing deep gratitude and appreciation for the immense contributions of the Dien Bien soldiers and civilian workers who helped achieve the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory that "shook the world."

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished the veterans long life, peace, and happiness, serving as a spiritual pillar for their children and the younger generation to emulate. He also requested that localities continue to pay attention to and effectively implement the Party and State's policies and regulations for those who have rendered meritorious service; work with families to care for and support these veterans, and continue to uphold revolutionary traditions, contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

On this occasion, Comrade Dang Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Police, and leaders of Yen Mo district also presented gifts to the families.

* On the morning of April 16th, Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu veterans residing in Yen Khanh district. Accompanying him were Comrade Dinh Cong Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and leaders from several provincial and district departments, agencies, and organizations.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Pham Van Uyen (92 years old), a Dien Bien Phu veteran, in Thuong hamlet - Nhuan Hai commune, Khanh Hai district, and the family of Mr. Tran Trong Phuong (93 years old), a Dien Bien Phu veteran and 4/4 disabled soldier, in Phu Son village, Khanh Phu commune.

During his visits to the families, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee cordially inquired about their lives and wished the Dien Bien Phu soldiers continued good health, the strength to overcome difficulties, and a happy and healthy life with their children and grandchildren.

Expressing his appreciation and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the veterans in the resistance war against French colonialism, which led to the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory that shook the world, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that the veterans and soldiers of Dien Bien Phu, along with their families, would continue to uphold the revolutionary traditions and fine qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," reminding and educating the younger generation about patriotism and responsibility to their homeland, and working together to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

Affirming that the Party and State always pay attention to implementing policies of gratitude and appreciation with all their hearts, remembering the contributions of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and veteran revolutionary cadres, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that local Party committees, authorities, and organizations continue to pay attention to and ensure the best conditions for caring for and supporting those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution in general, and the families of Dien Bien Phu soldiers in particular, thereby effectively implementing policies of gratitude and social welfare in the province.

* On the morning of April 16th, Comrade Dinh Viet Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu veterans in Tam Diep city. Accompanying him were representatives from several provincial agencies and units, and leaders of Tam Diep city.

The delegation visited Mr. Le Anh Huong in residential area 15, Bac Son ward; who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1953; and was formerly the Director of Dong Giao Hospital. They also visited Mr. Nguyen Duc Khien in Ly Nhan residential area, Yen Binh ward; who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign from April 1953 to May 1954; Mr. Khien is currently receiving a retirement pension.

During visits to the families, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Comrade Dinh Viet Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, presented gifts from the province and cordially inquired about the health and family situation of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers.

The comrade expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien soldiers in the resistance war against the French. He hoped that the Dien Bien soldiers and their families would continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, pass on the revolutionary spirit to future generations, and contribute their intellect and efforts to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

* On April 16th, a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, led by Comrade Bui Hoang Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and presented gifts to the families of Dien Bien Phu soldiers in Hoa Lu district.

Accompanying them were representatives from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Federation of Labor, and the Provincial Veterans Association.

Comrade Bui Hoang Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and his delegation visited, presented gifts, and encouraged the family of Mr. Nguyen Quang Khai in Hamlet 2, La Mai, Ninh Giang Commune, and the family of Mr. Ha Van Chung in Kha Luong Village, Ninh Thang Commune. They also expressed deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers, youth volunteers, and civilian workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, contributing to the defense of the Fatherland.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council expressed his wish that the Dien Bien Phu soldiers continue to live happily and healthily, serving as shining examples for their children and the younger generation to follow.

* On the morning of April 16th, Comrade Do Viet Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu soldiers, youth volunteers, and civilian workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and are currently living in Kim Son district. Accompanying him were leaders from the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Veterans Association, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and leaders of Kim Son district.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Lai Van Linh, born in 1931, residing in Tri Chinh Street, Phat Diem town, and Mr. Truong Van Ly, born in 1931, residing in Hamlet 4, Hoi Ninh commune. Both gentlemen had directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

During his visits, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the Dien Bien Phu veterans and cordially inquired about their health and well-being.

The comrade expressed joy at seeing that the elderly, despite their advanced age, were still mentally alert and living happily and healthily with their children and grandchildren. He also expressed his respect and gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers in the resistance war against the French, which led to the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory that "shook the world." He wished the elderly to maintain their health and, together with their families, continue to uphold the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and the spirit of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers to contribute their intellect and efforts to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

The Dien Bien Phu veterans expressed their gratitude for the province's attention, shared memorable moments from the Dien Bien Phu campaign, and hoped that future generations would continue to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting, building, and developing their homeland.

* On the morning of April 16th, Comrade Bui Mai Hoa, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department, along with a delegation from the province and Gia Vien district, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu veterans in Gia Vien district.

In Xuan Lai village, Gia Tien commune, the delegation visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Do Huu Chi (born in 1924), an artillery soldier who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

Respecting and expressing gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of Mr. Do Huu Chi, Comrade Bui Mai Hoa, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, affirmed: Upholding the nation's tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," over the years, the province has always paid attention to leading and directing all levels, sectors, and localities to effectively implement movements of gratitude and social welfare policies for families of wounded soldiers, martyrs, and those who have contributed to the revolution.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department presented gifts to Mr. Do Huu Chi and wished him continued happiness and good health with his children and grandchildren.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien Phu veteran Tran Doan (born in 1927) in Hamlet 9, Gia Thang Commune. In 1950, heeding the sacred call of the Fatherland, Mr. Tran Doan volunteered to enlist in the army. As the Battalion Commander of the Communications Battalion, Mr. Tran Doan bravely and selflessly contributed to ensuring effective information and propaganda for our troops during the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

Notably, Mr. Tran Doan also has a younger brother, Mr. Tran Minh Tranh (born in 1935), who was also a soldier in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. Throughout their participation in the fighting, the two brothers, Mr. Tran Doan and Mr. Tran Minh Tranh, received numerous medals and awards from the Party and the State. Currently, Mr. Tran Doan has 71 years of Party membership, and Mr. Tran Minh Tranh has 65 years of Party membership.

Expressing deep gratitude and appreciation for the immense contributions of previous generations, Comrade Bui Mai Hoa, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, requested that all levels, sectors, and localities in Gia Vien district continue to effectively implement social welfare work, show gratitude, and care for the lives of families of wounded soldiers, martyrs, and those who have contributed to the revolution.
