Singer Pham Thu Ha: "Music is a magical catalyst for love and national pride."

As a familiar face in many political and artistic programs, singer Pham Thu Ha was still deeply moved to participate in the "national concert" "Homeland in My Heart".

She described the atmosphere in Hanoi these days: “It seems the whole city is holding its breath, listening to the echoes of the historic autumn 80 years ago. In every street corner, every tree, there is still a lingering sense of the spirit and fervent enthusiasm of the great August Revolution and the National Day of September 2nd of our Vietnam.”

For Pham Thu Ha, this year's autumn in Hanoi therefore possesses a majestic and profound beauty. And in that special atmosphere, the national concert "Homeland in My Heart," organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, is more than just a simple art program.

“It was a truly special performance, where artists of many generations and ages stood together on one stage, singing brilliant songs of joy. It was a beautiful image of continuity, where the older generation passed on the warm flame to the younger generation, where each sound, despite its diversity of tones and colors, together wove a shared story about the homeland,” shared Pham Thu Ha.

The singer felt that, during the concert, tens of thousands of audience members would share the same heartbeat and the same breath.

“And music is the magical catalyst that transforms that moment into a great resonance of love and national pride. For Ha, contributing her small voice to that symphony is an unparalleled honor. My heart is filled with pride and anticipation for the moment when I, along with tens of thousands of Vietnamese hearts, will sing the story of a country that has weathered the storms of war to rise up brilliantly,” the singer confided.

Meritorious Artist Dang Duong: "More and more young singers are choosing to sing songs about love for their homeland and country."

As one of the veteran artists performing at the show, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong announced that he will perform two mashups with young artists.

“This isn’t the first time we’ve collaborated like this. Before this, I’ve worked with members of Oplus on several revolutionary music projects. Singing with them during these days of national celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd is an honor. Especially standing on stage in front of 50,000 live viewers and millions more watching via live broadcast, I feel more emotional than ever,” said Meritorious Artist Dang Duong.

According to Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, more and more young singers are choosing to perform timeless works that evoke love for the homeland. This is a positive sign that revolutionary compositions will live on through time.

Singer Ha Le: “I want to bring the spirit of a new generation, built upon the culture and history of our ancestors.”

Speaking to a reporter from Nhan Dan Newspaper, singer Ha Le revealed that at the "Homeland in My Heart" program, he will perform three songs: "Aspiration" by composer Thuan Yen (a duet with singer Vo Ha Tram), " Hue - Saigon - Hanoi" by composer Trinh Cong Son, and "Vietnamese People," composed by himself and his teammates in SpaceSpeakers.

“With songs like 'Aspiration' and 'Hue-Saigon-Hanoi,' we have handled and arranged them differently. Reimagining revolutionary songs requires understanding the core essence and context of each work. Because only by understanding the soul and spirit can we find the right way to interpret them. Each melody evokes a heroic period in the nation's history. And that spirit must be present in the new arrangement,” Ha Le explained.

As for "Vietnamese People," Ha Le skillfully incorporates a contemporary feel into the Hip-Hop genre. In this work, he emphasizes the message: "I want to bring the spirit of the new era, of a generation that dares to think, dares to act, and dares to try, based on the culture and history left by our ancestors, through this musical work."

Child singer Thien Kim: "Performing in this show is a great source of pride."

For child singer Thien Kim, performing the mashup of "Who Loves President Ho Chi Minh More Than Young Children?" and "President Ho Chi Minh - The Man Who Gave Me Everything" in the political and artistic program "Homeland in My Heart" was a great source of pride.

“I am most touched by the lyric: 'May Uncle Ho live forever, to guide children to become good people and build the nation with people.' For me, this lyric is like Uncle Ho watching over us, and also a message to the younger generations to strive to study and train themselves to contribute to the country,” the 13-year-old child singer shared.

Sergeant Le Xuan Huy and Sergeant Nguyen Huu Quan: “It is an honor to recreate the parade at Red Square with my comrades.”

As one of the soldiers who represented the Vietnam People's Army at the parade in Red Square (Moscow, Russia), Sergeant Le Xuan Huy, a fourth-year student at the Army Officer School 1, expressed his honor to recreate the parade with his comrades on the "Homeland in My Heart" stage.

The soldiers recreated the parade scene at the event.

“I am very happy to once again wear the uniform of the Vietnam People's Army to demonstrate the courage and steely spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers in front of tens of thousands of spectators. In addition, the appearance of soldiers in the national anthem performance at the beginning of the program also promises to bring many emotions to everyone,” Sergeant Le Xuan Huy added.

Sharing the pride of recreating the parade at Red Square once again, Sergeant Nguyen Huu Quan, a fourth-year student at the Army Officer School 1, said: “If in Moscow we held a parade for Vietnamese expatriates in Russia and the Russian people, then on this 'Homeland in Our Hearts' stage, we also gave our all to create a spectacular performance for the Vietnamese people. This pride also comes with responsibility, motivating us to train diligently to ensure a correct, uniform, strong, and beautiful parade for the viewers.”
