Da Lat gateway highway has a series of electrical equipment stolen

Lam Dong Street lights on some sections of the Lien Khuong - Da Lat highway are not working due to stolen wires, causing billions of dong in damage and endangering vehicles.

According to Hung Phat Company Limited, the unit managing and operating the Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway, last year and this year there were many cases of cutting and stealing the power lines supplying power to the lighting system. The most cut area is the section from Lien Khuong intersection to the overpass of Highway 27, adjacent to Hiep An commune (Duc Trong district), part of the intersection at the foot of Prenn pass.

In addition to spending more than 6 billion VND to fix the problem, the company organized day and night patrols and installed surveillance cameras on the route, but theft still occurred.

Faced with the situation that some sections were not illuminated, causing danger to vehicles, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee directed the enterprise to complete the repair of the electrical system before December 25, but to date it has not been completed.

Hung Phat Company Limited said that it will replace about 400 sets of lighting from the border of Hiep An and Hiep Thanh communes to Prenn bridge and Lien Khuong intersection. As for the sections where the power supply wires were stolen, the company would like to temporarily install solar lights because the cost is very high and the repair time is long.

According to the company, up to now, the project capital recovery fee collection plan with the signed BOT contract has no cost for periodic maintenance and repair of the lighting system. Therefore, the company proposed that the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee add funds for regular and unscheduled repairs to the project capital recovery plan.

The 19 km long Lien Khuong - Da Lat Expressway, put into operation 15 years ago, helps connect Lien Khuong airport and southern provinces to the center of Da Lat city.
