According to the National Technical Standard on Road Traffic Signs QCVN 41:2019, supplementary signs are usually placed in conjunction with main signs to provide explanation and additional information for better understanding. These signs are rectangular or square in shape and are placed directly below the main sign.
The "no honking" sign (symbol P.128) has an additional sign S.501 "scope of application of the sign" attached directly below it.
The S.501 sign prohibits vehicles from using their horns while traveling within a 500-meter radius of the sign.
